Great Quality Watch for First Time Watch Wearers
My boyfriend has a 3 year old who has an odd obsession with clocks of all kinds. His favorite? Big Ben. I have no idea why, but he loves the gears, the ticking, the anticipation of the ringing of the bells, and has recently discovered cuckoo clocks! Since I would be driven absolutely crazy by a clock that rings all day, I figured I should find him an inexpensive wrist watch that has a ticking second hand and that could survive drops, throwing, and a potential dip in the toilet (We are potty training). What I received was even better. The strap is durable and has a long strip of Velcro on it so that it even fits his tiny wrists. The watch face is extremely clear and easy to ready. The piece around the face of the watch looks plastic in the picture, but I am almost sure it is metal. The second hand also ticks if you listen closely. What is even better is that the face lights up a green color when the knob on the side is pressed! This made my boyfriend's little guy light up. He loves his watch and so will your child! Highly recommended!

Great starter watch!
I gave this watch to my 9yr old for one of his 12 days of Christmas gifts, he loved it so much that he told us the precise time every 2-3minutes. He even made me look up the "world clock" to ensure it was set properly-LOL He has worn it non-stop since getting it(about 9days now), he won't even take it off to take a bath/shower. It is holding up quite well. My son also has a vision impairment and needs something that is easy to see, this fit the bill very well. For its size, the numbers are large and the "tick marks"(minutes) are dark, of good size, and well seen with the indiglo as well as without. I was originally planning on getting him something else(like lego or starwars), but decided on a basic, reputable branded watch and I am so glad I did! I can't imagine the cheap plastic watches going through the tub without incident(and they would've cost more to replace besides). With little boys indestructibility is probably the single most important quality of any gift and this fits the bill!!

Great watch for my son
This is an awesome watch--really hard to beat for the price. My son is just turning 7 and has been wearing and reading a watch for over a year now. He is, however, hard on his watch (even though he is extremely anal about where it is and how it is treated). We immediately had to replace the band (my son and I both hate velcro) with an 8 dollar metal Timex replacement that works great. The first watch stopped working suddenly about seven months after we got it--the light started to flicker when he turned it on, and eventually it just stopped telling time entirely--no slow-down, it just stopped. When his replacement arrived (he loved it, so it had to be the same watch), the old watch started working again suddenly when I was changing the bands, because a grain of sand had gotten stuck in the winding arm, preventing it from being pushed all the way in. It was not dead, just not engaged. So now he has two. I probably should have checked that, though I fiddled with it a lot before ordering another one. I was debating having the battery replaced, but the flickering indiglo made me think it had malfunctioned instead of just running out of battery power. I'm surprised that the watch was disabled by a grain of sand. I wear analog Timex watches also, and usually shatter the face on rocks before the sand under them can gum up my watch. On the other hand, his old watch works again, so he has a spare, and really it was kind of a freak thing, I think. Overall, this watch is a fantastic value. It's actually metal, and it's kid tough. I just hate the watch band it comes with.

Easy for a boy to put on by themselves. Fits well.
My boys absolutely love these watches! They look awesome and are perfect for school since they don’t make any sounds and have a neutral color that blends in with their uniforms. The fit is great, and they can easily put them on by themselves. They’re stylish, comfortable, and exactly what we were looking for.

Worth every penny!
I purchased 2 of these for my 6 and 7 year old kids. The price is great, awesome bang for your buck. The watch is nice and small, perfect for a young child. The velcro is comfortable enough that they never take them off and looks like it will last a long time. The face of the watch is perfect too! Has nice, easy to read hours, as well as minutes. However, the minutes are very small, but my kids can still read it just fine. All around, a great watch for a child who is just learning, or wants to learn how to tell time. Only down side I have, now they know how to tell time! That might sound great to you, but now they question me every time I try to get them into bed early!

Don't listen to other watch brands and get your kid a Timex watch!
I was amazed by this product. Color was how the picture showed. Really light to carry around. Not really easy to pull out the knob but it's still great! I haven't tested it in water yet so I don't know about the water resistance. Wearabillity puts a little tattoo on your arm when you put it on too tight but it's ok! Quality is perfect!

A good watch for a 9 yo but buy two since it's going to stop in one year.
This is the third (yes, third) watch of the same type I buy and since my son really loves these I keep buying him a new one. They last about a year and stop working, either battery runs out and runs you close to 10 $ to have replaced at a store so it's almost cheaper to get a new one. The first versions had backlit display and were really great, this version does NOT have backlit (omnilight). Strap is really good and a good fit for an 8 / 9 yo. Would give this 5 stars if it still had backlight and lasted a bit longer.

Perfect for active, small-wristed women or kids
I work outside quite a bit and take care of lots of dogs, so I thought, at this price, why not try this kid's watch... and guess what: it's great. It doesn't have cartoon characters and doesn't scream that it's intended for children, and the band is infinitely adjustable, which is great for me because my wrists are pretty tiny. It definitely looks rugged, and I wouldn't wear it for a dressy occasion, but it's just right for everyday and especially for working. I've had Indiglo Timex's before and loved that feature, and I miss it on my "better" watches, so I'm delighted with that addition too. (I don't know why they don't mention it in the description.) I wore an Indiglo in classes and lectures for years, and it was so handy to see what time it was in the dark. Now I guess people use their phones, but phones light up really brightly and everyone around you notices. Indiglo is subtle, so no one knows you're wishing the lecturer would shut up! :-) I also like the fact that the case is stainless steel instead of plastic, and it's definitely more durable. The band I expect to fray because I've seen other people's bands like this begin to fray and mat after years, but that's a good ways down the road anyway. So, for an adult or a kid, I think this is a great watch for everyday. And you can't beat the price. Plus, Amazon Prime is so fast on delivery that it arrives in a flash.
