Handcrafted Bamboo Watch Winder for Luxury Automatic Watches, Quiet Japanese Motors, Space-Saving 2-Watch and 4-Watch Capacity Turner Case

I was looking at watch winders and originally purchased two Wolf Cubs (1 watch and 3 watch), they both stopped working after a month. The manufacturer took care right away and refunded me. I didn't particularly like the style of the other brands, I find some of the wooden one very tacky (you need to get into the $1,000 range to find classy ones) and some others like the Versa don't have a glass/plexiglass cover so the watches get dusty. I decided to give this one a try because I like the 45 degrees angle and the fact that it's the same size as a single watch Wolf Cub but fits 2 watches. (BTW the listing shows the two slots being different sizes but they're actually the same size, you can use a smaller pillow). But the main reason why I didn't like the other brands is because of their pillows. Wolf uses pillows that are so strong people actually think there is a spring inside, I opened them and it's just mattress style foam. It's way too strong so it's ok on steel bracelets but it was stretching my leather strap. The issue is that the pillow doesn't have the shape of a wrist so the stretching was giving a rectangular shape. I just don't understand how a dedicated watch accessory manufacturer would engineer something like that. Watch Winder Smith's pillows are shaped like a wrist and they're made of a different type of foam. So at 7" all around it fits 2 watches rather than only 1, the pillow fits the watch correctly, it's battery operated so you can put it anywhere and take it with you and because it's slanted at 45 degrees is more pleasant to look at (other brands have the top and sides way too thick so you don't really enjoy the watch) Overall unless you're willing to spend $1,000 on top winders this is the best on the market. One thing though, I emailed the manufacturer because I was wondering if they carried or had plans to make a smaller unit for just 1 watch, so it fits smaller spaces and can be carried in the suitcase more easily so hopefully we can get a smaller version. This version is nice on countertops etc but it would be nice for when traveling. (I used both batteries and power adapter)

The motors are very quiet with the winder matching the desired look and feel for displaying my watches. I’ve been really happy with this purchase so far and look forward to years of use.

09.09.21 Update! Shortly after posting the review below, I received an email from the seller (Watch Winder Smith) suggesting the motors would be replaced. All I had to do was confirm the winder model, and describe the issues I experienced. Within a couple weeks, the new motors arrived from China. These motors are much more substantial, and quiet than the originals. Thanks to a couple helpful videos, I was able to install the motors in 15-20 minutes! This seller obviously cares about service, and I'd have no hesitation doing business with them again! Thank you WWS! Original Review After reading a few favorable reviews, I ordered this 4 watch winder, paying about twice the cost of the last winder I'd purchased. The unit is beautiful, and has a "high quality" feel. Unfortunately, within a couple month both motors ceased functioning, and the seller was no longer on Amazon. The result - I'm stuck with an expensive, and attractive watch winder that doesn't wind!

Out of the box, this is an impressive unit. It is heavy (a good thing) and feels very well constructed. It is simple and direct in design. Controls are straightforward and easy to use. The only negative things I can say is that it barely accommodates large mens watches and that you can hear a slight change in pitch in the motor as the weight of the timepieces reaches the highest point in the cycle. We have a total of 4 autos that need winding (2 mens 2 ladies). Because of the design, most folks will have to place one each in the winders instead of a his side and hers side. Not a big problem however it eliminates the opportunity for a "his and hers" type of winder. One last thing and a very nice touch....the LED indicators are quite bright. WWS takes the time to give you covers for these LEDs should they be too bright for your room. The covers go directly over the LEDs and are the same color as the panel and look as if they belong there. Nicely done.

September 1, 2020, I bought the 2 Large watch winder. It was quiet and worked well, but within less than 2 years one of the motors broke. As I needed to replace it, and I had gotten another watch by then, I figured that I will buy the 4 watch winder as probably it was a fluke that a motor burned out in what I felt was too quickly. On July 1, 2023, I bought the 4 watch winder and it also worked quietly and well, but again as of about 6 months ago one of the dual watch motors burned out. I feel that these motors should last longer than 2-3 years and as I need to replace it, I will look at other companies.

It’s still working for more than 6 years.

Excellent watch winder for luxury watches. It has an attractive design, is well constructed, and looks good on the dresser. It’s also very quiet, which was an absolute must for us because the previous older watch winder we had was so loud and annoying. My husband is thrilled with his new watch winder, which was a Christmas gift from yours truly. He has some large watches, and this winder fits all of them perfectly. Highly recommend!

This is a great watch Winder. It is extremely quiet and the case is very attractive. It has multiple spin options, which is nice. I've been very happy with it.
