Top notch audio quality. Great Bluetooth connectivity. Of course it doesn't have display in-built. But otherwise, it is the best speakers you can get under the 10k. Much better than Sony speakers in this price range. Bass is deep being wooden. Mid range and high range is also good. I had a previous Home theatre system of Panasonic brand (old one: 2 box speakers and 3 satellite speakers.) And from there I can say that Panasonic gives the best quality audio output in its amplifier and speakers. (Of course in its class) Better than Sony.

Like many of the costumers listed here, I too undertook a long market search and waiting to conclude my buying decision. My preference was to buy a premium quality sound surround speaker system with BT connectivity under 7K. Compared Sony SA- D100 with this and decided to go with HT40. Sound quality is perfect but do not expect great, for that you've to shed more bucks. I'm totally satisfied with the product as I'm more concerned about sound details and clarity rather than loudness. Yes, the speakers do a decent job and it's price worthy. The speaker's are 4.1 Ch surround system with decent effects considering the connectivity is limited to 3.5 mm socket, BT and USB (no optical, digital, or real 4.1 Ch inputs exists). Yet the system produces quality surround effect barring the absence of true surround input, thanks to the processor. Sound quality varies depends upon the input sources and the file formats and BT sourcing is lesser quality one while considering the other two i.e. USB and 3.5 mm socket. The pros and cons according to me are:- Pros:- Premium look Wooden speakers Good bass, treble and volume BT connectivity etc etc. CONs:- Limited connectivity options No FM tuner It's not true surround Absence of digital display cause difficulty in choosing EQ modes, file and folder selection via USB, etc. BT selection is only through remote control. Remote control is restricted to limited angle and range. Like many others, my remote control too stopped to respond after 3 months. However, a battery replacement had fixed the issue. It's range problem is actually figured out to the design of the speaker unit in which the SLIT provided for the IR receiver to catch the remote signal seems to be very narrow one. I've fixed this issue too by widening the slit located adjacent to the LED light with a fruit knife and a pocker without compromising the look of the cabinet!!! And the result is overwhelming, that now I can operate the system in much better wide angles..! The techies of Japan should have adopted this concept earlier so as to reduce a lion share of negative reviews!! Any way I love this product very much..!

Plan your wiring before buying. Avoid paying extra for soundbars. If you have space in your room, this will give better sound than soundbar for less price. Can compare this with Sony SA D40, as they looked equally promising from the specs and reviews but didnt have the luxury of trying both before buying. After 6 months of daily use - This system continues to delight. I plug it directly with the laptop so cant comment about the bluetooth. I would say, it is value for money even if I had to buy an additional bluetooth receiver so that I can continue using this like a wired speaker

If you are looking for 5.1 home theatre then buy this with closed eyes. I have done all the research, seen most of the systems in market. But nothing comes close to panasonic quality. The bass is so powerful that it will give thumping feeling in room. At this cost no system gives bass and treble control but panasonic does. Overall awesome buy if you want budgeted home theatre. I am loving the sound every day from this terrific music system. Great sound At this cost will give you peace of mind as bonus

The sound system is good enough. Build quality is also good. Very Power full bass Veery thing is good bt ther is 2 major problems. 1. you can't control bass from remote, you have to reach to the main unit to cantrol bass & treble. and the bass quality and power is actually uncontrollable. 2. Ther is NO FM

Actually this product is not worth for money,sound quality OK,remote control with minimum function,main unit not completely wooden cabinet, it's made with mixture of wood and carton ,so it's affect subwoofer performance,am also faced delivery issues in Kerala..they are hold my package 3days more because of the vehicle availability issue to final delivery station..

Yeah it's good product.. You can buy it without any doubght. Sound Quality is too good man. I don't know what is the reason but if it connect in TV then don't getting proper volume...means Bass play role more...so some voice can't be edible.. Overall it's best product if your use as Music player.
