My Remo+ stopped working, so I bought this Tapo camera doorbell to replace it. It was easy to configure. It takes a little getting used to the way the app is setup, but it has everything I need. It doesn’t require a subscription— which is great! I bought an SD card and save everything locally. It had specific detection for people, vehicles, packages, and motion. I purchased the hardwired version, but it also charges via usb if you don’t want to hardwire it. If you want non-stop detection, you need to hardwire it. The quality of the picture is very good. It has infrared night vision. Plenty of features for simple home security. I would buy it again. I recommend it.

Very nice doorbell where you don't have doorbell wiring. Extremely easy to install; pretty easy to remove and charge the battery. Installed a memory chip for picture/video storage -- took about 5 seconds to install the memory. Camera images are not super high resolution but are pretty good (see image I just took from the doorbell). We are away from this home about 6 months at a time each year and just charge the battery right before we leave. We don't use the motion detection but we get an immediate phone call when someone rings the bell. The battery drains very slowly in this mode and based on testing thus far, it should easily be good for 6 months. We tried using the motion detection when we are there but too much feedback. There are options on this doorbell that would work better to detect people, but we don't really need it. Good enough to ring the bell in the house and ring our cell phones - we just turn on the camera on the phone, and can see who it is and talk to them. This works great when we are away and when we are in. When in, we are frequently down at our dock -- and can answer the doorbell from there. If you want motion detection engaged and want to record video while motion detection is active, you can do that but the battery won't last a long time. They do have a slightly more expensive model with all the features of this unit with a higher res camera that connects to doorbell wiring if you want to record that. I absolutely hate all of the subscription BS every vendor on earth is trying to get you to buy. We can avoid it with this doorbell which more than meets our needs. I would definitely buy this again!

Great Doorbell camera! No subscription needed, which is what I wanted! All you need is a microSD card, and you're all set! But there is also a cloud feature for those interested. Setting up and installing the doorbell camera is super easy. There is a clear instruction manual to follow. There is also step-by-step instructions on your phone as you are setting up the doorbell camera along the way. Just make sure your wifi is reliable, and everything will fall into place! It also gives detailed recommendations on how to install the doorbell camera. The plug-in Chime is added with my purchase of the doorbell camera. The Tapo app is easy to navigate. It shows you live footage. You can modify how sensitive you want the camera to detect people or things. You can dowload footage. You can speak to people at your door through the camera. You can also select voice prompts to communicate with people at your door if you yourself don't want to actually speak to the person (personal favorite). Been recommending this camera to a bunch of coworkers, and they've been very interested. Great product!

So far I'm loving the no subscription doorbell. It has motion and person detection. Great value in price. My favorite part is the features to be able to turn off the led light via motion, the chime. The only part is the screen on the app could be a little lower to see the whole entire view from outside at the bottom l. I know it's not a head to tie view. It looks like the app is hiding some of the view. Other than that I am l loving the tapo camera.. it has great video quality for viewing. It gives a 2k option and auto( lower quality view)(helps save on battery) Although if you decide to try out the subscription it's lower price that's feasible. Quality is as good as some name brands we know

I'm generally liking it so far. Clear, high quality camera. Easy setup and app is easy to use. First thing I noticed is how sloooow it charges. I'm using the supplied charge cord...maybe a higher quality cord will help? I hope I don't need to charge too often because if so, this things going to be inside charging more often than doing it's job watching my front door.

The product so far is working great, it’s been installed here for a couple of weeks. When I initially stalled it, I had an issue with the chime working with the doorbell, so I sent the company an email which they responded to very quickly and helped me to get everything working.. nowadays service can be hard to get but in this case they were very on the spot and helpful. I’m not paying for the monthly service and I installed a USB card and everything is functioning without a problem and I’m not getting any issues with them trying to persuade me to pick up the Service that I seen in other comments.. I’m planning to use this on other properties and I’m happy to see that they have other sensors such as humidity.. I like the idea that you can set up an area for detection so it’ll only notify you within a certain area - where my camera sits my street is about 40 feet away and it was detecting large vehicles going down the street when I set up the zone for detection those type of notification stopped. I installed the 15° wedge down to be able to watch the packages that are put up against the door and the image quality has been excellent and the cat eye vision allows full visibility on my porch.. love the idea that when somebody rings the doorbell, I get a call through the app which allows me to communicate. So far this has shown to be everything I could want it to do.. the app has been easy to work with and reliable. It immediately connected to my Wi-Fi and has function without a problem.

Antes tenia un timbre Ring, no funcionaba como debía, tenia problemas de señal débil WiFi. se perdían notificaciones. Cambie a timbre TP-Link Tapo, y ahora funciona excelente, buena imagen, capta señal WiFi sin problemas y las notificaciones son inmediatas. Muy recomendado

Excellent buy. I Bought this to replace my ring door bell because I saw no reason to keep a subscription for a door bell. Installation was easy just like my other TAPO security cams. Picture quality and frame is way better than the ring. And I like that it came with a Chime.

Muy buen timbre con una cámara para ver de extraordinaria calidad y clarisima resolución para dia y noche. Es preferible dejarla en modo timbre para que la bateria dure sino se descarga en modo detección super rápido. También bajar a 1 o máximo 2 el nivel de detección en modo timbre ya que si esta en modo ahorro no permite mas de esos 2 niveles. Funciona de manera excelente y las notificaciones son inmediatas. Tiene varias funciones para programar y configurar siendo una de las virtudes de lo que manejan las cámaras tapo y el timbre tiene diferentes sonidos y niveles de audio ademas del video y la interación con quien toca. Muy buen dispositivo. Muy recomendable es fácil y rápido de configurar. Trae un kit de instalación super completo por si no desea uno perforar solo con los adhesivos que trae.
