I bought 4 of these to use as clothes line pulleys. They are sturdier and easier to wind. I put them in nearly 2 years ago and they are still almost as good as new (a small amount or rust at this point). Great product.

Used for winding a clothes line. Works very well for this, but the winch is not designed for mounting directly to a wall as I need, so I've used an angle bracket (Toolstation part no. 44421).

Love this. I bought it for my DIY washing line. It's a long double line with bearings at each end. This winch, with a decent nylon rope/cable is perfect. It's strong for a big load of washing too. Only issue is that I had to buy a bracket to wall mount it but as it's not the intended purpose, I didn't mind so much.

Used the winch for a garden washing line using a pulley and some hooks. Keep loose to reach line and hang clothes then tighten as required to lift washing line. Winch will hold about 25m of a 4mm diameter steel washing line when wound up in the reel before touching the sides. Make sure to use only steel line for max tension as pvc coated washing line will stretch and rip coating when tense. If using a PVC coated steel washing line, cut the the pvc coat all the way around near winch whilst hooked to other end. This way the pvc coating with flex on tension rarher than split. When making the loop hook for line make sure to crimp the steel not the pvc as when tensioned the hook un clamps and washing will be on the floor next day like mine and wife will not be too happy ;)

These winches (I bought two) seem to be well made and work well. I was disappointed though, because they do not include a wall mounting plate, so they can't be mounted to a wall without buying extra pieces that you'll have to track down yourself. Based on other reviews with pictures/videos showing a wall mounting plate I assumed this was included, and the manual that comes with the winches references a mounting plate, but it is not included with the product. I got these delivered needing to fit them the same day, so I had a stressful couple of hours trying to bodge together a mounting solution from bits in my small local hardware store. Hopefully this review might save someone else that hassle.

L'ombrellone da giardino non richiede sicuramente 250 Kg di forza per la sua apertura, quindi è leggero come una piuma risulta assolutamente senza sforzo aprirlo. In chiusura, tolto il freno di sicurezza e lanciata la maniglia nel senso di rotazione per la chiusura, l'ombrellone si richiude per inerzia e col suo stesso peso, senza necessità di controllare la manovella. Con un po di grasso nei punti giusti cessano anche i cigolii.

No lo utilizo como un cabrestante propiamente dicho. Compré uno para levantar la puerta del garaje y otro para levantar, con una pequeña modificación en el montaje, la sombrilla del jardín. Puede sonar a coña o considerarse una tontería, pero cuando se tiene un determinada edad y lo hombros un poco tocados, cualquier ayuda es buena, y esto lo ha sido. Mi mujer está encantada.

Neuve et besoin d'huile, qualité médiocre. Roues dentées ne sont pas dans l'axe.

Stabil, gut verarbeitet, mit Sicherung auf Position. Seit vielen Monaten im Freien montiert, teils bewittert. Dennoch kein Rost oä. Bin sehr zufrieden.
