I sawed several logs with this tool. It does work. And for the price it is the least expensive milling tool available. I gave it five stars for price/performance. And it hasn't broken yet. That being said, the price is low and so is performance. It is hard work pulling the chainsaw while keeping it all lined up. If you have more than just a couple logs to mill I would consider a different type of log mill, such as an Alaskan style.

Does the job. Definitely recommend using the thru-bolts.

great items and it helped with building our log cabin. 4 star was only becase it cut to close but we took a part off another brand that broke and it worked.

I had to drill holes in my bar, but it worked great after doing that. I cut a 4 inch thick beam 15' long with ease.

Works well but did not fit a standard 2×6, had to rip 1/16" to fit.

For the price it works great. Vibration caused it to lose a nut on the adjustable spacer, but that's my fault for not cranking it down tight enough. Found it back with a heavy magnet. I liked the fact I was cutting vertically rather than horizontally. It may not be as precise as other options but sometimes you don't need that.

5 holes that clamp guide to bar. The 2 holes on the inside were not tapped to accommodate set screws. Useless

I’m using this on small/medium logs with my dewalt 20v electric chainsaw (with upgraded 14” Oregon bar). I’m not sure I’d want to use this device with a big chainsaw with lots of torque and a long bar but with a smaller chainsaw and a sharp blade and taking my time (letting the saw do its job and not muscling it too hard) it’s getting exactly the cuts I was hoping for. Just make sure to properly tighten all the bolts before starting. I had to retighten the bolts on the guide that slides the device down a board after 5 minutes bc they weren’t tight enough with the vibrations and pulling of the saw and the guide started sliding out of alignment bc of it.

Overall condition of tool is great although tool was slightly bent and not flush but this shouldn't effect the performance...
