I am happy I bought this for my action camera kit. What an excellent device. I can't say enough good things about about the fixture's build quality. The clamp is strong, the flexibility and firmness of the articulating cameras support is solid. Especially with Action cameras. It also folds compactly, and doen't take up much space at all. It's with me everywhere I go with a camera - no matter how my kit is set for any particular day. It has been a tremendous help.

I recently started a YouTube channel, I’m flying solo and I don’t have anyone to help with filming.. It’s really the extra hand I needed. Smallrig has given us a fantastic product.. In fact I have two of these!

If you’re not careful, you will tighten this too tight and be unable to loosen it. It does not fit in most places in my car and is for mainly table top use you will need an attachment to mount your phone. Otherwise it is very doable and an easy design.

EDIT: They rectified the experience for me, great company! Original 3/5 star review: I love all of the improvements that were made over the previous version. Overall more ergonomically sound, easier to tighten the knobs and the new clamp is an incredibly good upgrade. The one major downgrade is the stability of the arm at the ball joints. The previous version of the magic arm held up my equipment and really, really did not allow it to move when locked. The new one moves with even slight movement with the same setup. Stops it from being able to be used on anything that is moved while filming. Not sure if I just have a bad one or if this is just how they work now.

This is THE BEST camera cl amps that I have ever used. This thing is amazing. All I have to do to set the camera up in the right area and right framing, is twist a switch 180° and it is very easy.

These clamps are probably one of the best filmmaking tools I've ever bought. Inexpensive and functions perfectly. They're incredibly versatile and easy to use and position, HOWEVER, after shooting in almost every condition with the ones that have a 1/4" screw on one end, I highly encourage you to reconsider getting the ones with dual clamps. I've found myself more often than not wishing I had those on sets instead, and would advise that unless you know exactly what you want to rig with these, get the dual clamp ones.

Using this as a split keyboard desk tripod mount and I was very surprised by the quality, grip, sturdiness and versitility of this product.
