I was looking for a reliable water leak detector that didn’t require a hub, and this device exceeded my expectations. Setup was incredibly simple—it connected to my WiFi in minutes, and the app interface is intuitive and user-friendly. I love that I can get instant notifications on my phone whenever the sensor detects water. It gives me peace of mind, especially for areas like under the sink and near the water heater. The sensor is compact and well-built, with excellent sensitivity to even small amounts of water. I tested it with a few drops, and it alerted me immediately! It’s also great that there’s no need for a separate hub, which makes it a cost-effective option. This is a must-have for anyone who wants to prevent water damage in their home. Highly recommend!

First off, the price - it's good. SwitchBot have made a solid, well designed, clean and functional device. I love the small variance in the sensors. The detection pins are located on both sides of the unit. One set are flush and one slightly indented. This alters the moment of detection, which is a nice, subtle touch. And the extra sensor tail means that the single device can monitor two locations at the same time. So, for example, I have the unit in the drip tray and the external sensor on the floor. This covers several potential failure points in my watering system. It was so easy to connect to wifi. No extra hub is needed and the Switchbot app gives some nice functionality. Changing the volume of the siren, duration and interval gives some nice control options, and (this is the best bit), this little unit can be flipped into a water level warning sensor. This is a cool function for those alternate scenarios. So, to conclude. I looked at the options and chose Switchbot because they make quality smart devices that perform to their specifications and they are reliable. They also integrate seamlessly into my home both technically and aesthetically.

The app (iPhone version) works well and was easy to connect to the sensor. The installation was easy and it connected to my WiFi/Internet without issue to allow me to monitor water leakage. I had some issues with it staying connected to the WiFi, but has now been resolved by customer services.

Hopefully it will never really sound the alarm but had it for a while and battery is still going strong. Tested it at the beginning and works great. Left it behind the cupboard so in case of any leak in that place will know straight away. Good value for money for a peace of mind. Sensitivity is great. Once metal pin get in contact with water it sound the alarm. You can set the loudness of the alarm in the app.

Neatly packaged like opening a high end mobile phone and contents did not disappoint. Easily connected to wifi with the switchbot app and just works as it should. Battery state shown on app and good alerts on phone/ tablet etc. Audible alarm is not loud but grabs your attention. My main requirement is phone alert and it does that admirably.

So far so good. Easy to set up and worked when tested. It has yet to be triggered by flood water so fingers crossed!! Good value tool for peace of mind.

J’ai acheté le détecteur de fuite d’eau SwitchBot pour sécuriser mon appartement, et j’en suis très satisfait. L’installation est ultra simple : il suffit de placer le capteur à l’endroit souhaité et de le connecter à l’application SwitchBot, sans besoin de hub supplémentaire. Je l’ai installé sous mon chauffe-eau et je prévois d’en installer un autre prochainement sous mon évier équipé d’un système de filtration avancé. Le détecteur est très sensible, il réagit immédiatement à la moindre trace d’eau et déclenche une alarme sonore. J’apprécie aussi la réception de notifications instantanées sur mon smartphone, ce qui me rassure même lorsque je ne suis pas chez moi. Le design est compact et discret, il se glisse facilement sous un évier ou près d’une machine à laver. L’autonomie annoncée est excellente, et il fonctionne avec des piles classiques. initial issue: I placed the batteries, and tried the sensor cable, it straight up doesn't work, the sensor on the front of the device does, but no the back and the sensor cable, useless Edit: there are tiny pins behind the device, if you realize that your cable doesn't work either, push the pins forward with something and put the cache back on this device is amazing, you get an alarm that you can tone down or straight up disable it, and still have the notifications on your phone, i use it in a 70L trash bin that i use to store water for aquarium water changes that i have marked with different quantities of water (20,30,40,50,60L) i placed the cable sensor in and hold it with a magnet on the exterior so i can adjust the height of it and get a notification when my RO water reaches the desired amount of water i need

I have had fish tanks for years. I've overflowed buckets of water more times than I can count. (Or that my husband is aware of, lol). One time it ran all night long..Hardwood floors. Says it all. I could have avoided so much work if I knew this handy little device existed. What a life changing item! So easy! I hang it over the bucket about 2" and use a chip clip to hold it in place. Then I turn on my R.O. faucet and walk away. I can hear it beep pretty much everywhere on the first floor. I did the wifi hookup also (not necessary to use) and also get email messages. My husband said he wishes I found this year's ago. Me too. Super easy to use and WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Die Einrichtung war in wenigen Minuten erledigt – App starten, Gerät hinzufügen, mit dem Hub koppeln, fertig. Der Sensor reagiert extrem schnell: Sobald Wasser oder auch nur Feuchtigkeit erkannt wird, bekomme ich sofort eine Push-Nachricht auf mein Handy und gleichzeitig ertönt der Alarmton am Gerät. Über den Hub kann ich zusätzlich automatische Aktionen auslösen – z. B. eine Benachrichtigung über Alexa oder das Einschalten eines anderen SwitchBot-Geräts. Was mir besonders gefällt: • Sehr zuverlässige Erkennung, auch bei kleinsten Wasserspuren • Gute Reichweite und stabile Verbindung über den Hub • Lauter, aber nicht nerviger Alarm (laut Hersteller ca. 100 dB) • Lange Batterielaufzeit (läuft bei mir seit Wochen ohne Probleme) • In der App lassen sich Benachrichtigungen und Empfindlichkeit fein einstellen Ich habe den Melder im Keller unter einem Abflussrohr – so bin ich endlich beruhigt, wenn ich nicht zuhause bin. Preis-Leistung ist für mich top, und im Zusammenspiel mit dem Hub ist das System richtig smart. Fazit: Einfache Einrichtung, zuverlässige Funktion und super Integration ins bestehende SwitchBot-System – klare Empfehlung von mir!
