Loving this desk extender so far. I've been using it for a couple weeks to add more room for my computer desk. I use it to hold my keyboard, wrist rest, and Streamdeck. These are my observations: - There are 6 screws you have to put in to secure the shelf to the hardware; 3 on each side. Easy installation. - This wood shelf has these metal studs already built-in where screws go into, which means the screws don't actually dig into the wood and so you don't risk stripping the wood. It's a sign of a quality install. - Once mounted on your desk, the shelf surface is level with the top of the steel bracket. It would've been better if the shelf was level to the desk surface that it's mounted on. The difference is only about 2mm though. This is my only nitpick. - I bought the faux-carbon fiber version, which doesn't look like real carbon fiber but still looks good overall in my opinion. - The hardware feels very solid and the shelf lies perfectly flat when extended. - The latches are very easy to operate and you have to operate both latches at the same time to put the shelf back down. This means that even if one latch fails, it will still hold up. - When you fold the shelf back up, the latches will auto-lock into place which gives off a very satisfying and reassuring click. - I have a very thin solid-steel desk that's only about 2-3mm thick and I was able to mount it easily without having to add many spacers.

An outstanding product easy to install (although I had to make adjustment to where the mechanism attached due to a cornice on my desk that I missed measured), great looks it matches my desk finish, added more functionality to my desk and very reasonably priced. A very fun project that is extremely useful.

💡Installation tip: The Anker clamp is adjustable. If it doesn't fit under your desk lip at first, just loosen and reposition the screws to lower the anchor arm (anchor clamp)—I’ve included a photo of the area I mean. Once I did that, it fit perfectly. I truly don’t understand why this has a high return rate—this desk extender is awesome once you know how to install it correctly. I mainly use it as a dedicated spot for my notepad, and it has completely changed my work setup for the better. Before this, I had to move my mouse or awkwardly bend over the far side of my desk just to jot something down. That constant twisting and hunching was wrecking my back. Now, I can take notes comfortably without shifting anything—and my posture has noticeably improved. 🎯 A few more reasons I love it: ✅ The surface is durable and waterproof — no peeling, no bubbling, no chipping ✅ No damage to your desk — attaches with sturdy C-clamps, no drilling ✅ Spacious and strong — easily holds my notepad, mouse, or tablet ✅ Folds away neatly when not in use ✅ Huge ergonomic relief — no more back pain from bad angles I actually bought a small side table before this one, and it bubbled up after a single water spill—so frustrating! This desk tray, on the other hand, wipes clean easily and shows no signs of wear, even after everyday use. Bottom line: This is one of the best ergonomic upgrades I’ve made to my desk. If you’re thinking of returning it because the clamp doesn’t fit—don’t! Adjust the screws and give it a real chance. It's affordable, durable, and way more useful than I expected.

Easy to set up, pretty stable and what I needed. However minor complaint is the rubber ring on the clamp. Under pressure and over time the ring slips off. So your rubber foot will be where it clamped, but the actual metal clamp part will detach and slide away from the foot and come off. So this comes with a periodic check to make sure the clamp isn't about to slip out. Great for resting arms but I wouldn't trust putting anything on it, or leaning on it at all.

Originally I had bought this to use as a Kitchen Countertop extension for a mini oven, but the oven wasn't so big or long/wide as we thought. But it works excellently for when I need to hook this up at my (small space) Computer Desk when I need to do Bills, or when I want to eat at my desk, etc. (FYI: You don't need to crank this tight when you are doing light duty work... you can just have it snug enough to hold firm, but not so tight that you have to turn the bolt tightener real tight for each use. Then after you finished using, you can easily slide it off and tuck the extender bolt assembly back/flush, and place it out of the way) The other one I am temporarily using as an extension for something else.

Nice sturdy shelf. I did not expect the 2 pieces, but it went together well. Descriptions say it will work with 2” of overhang. I have 2” on the end of my standing desk but it is not even close to enough room for this to work. So… I had to return it. Back to the drawing board.

Love this extender for my desk. Had to add an extra piece of wood underneath bc my desk had a piece that was in the way of the clamp. It was an easy fix though. This extender is a big improvement to my desk. Function and quality of it is great. Very study and definitely worth the money. The extender is perfectly sized.

I don't usually write product reviews but felt compelled to do so with this item. It's just been a brilliant extension to my small home office desk - just that extra bit that makes it feel so much more spacious! I can work off a second laptop on it. For the money, I didn't expect too much but I have to say, I'm impressed by the quality. It is sturdy and doesn't feel cheap, practical to flip up and down, and super easy to fit. The seller shipped it super quickly as well - arrived in now time.

Well packaged item , easy to put together and very sturdy. Looks good and has increased my work area more than I thought it would. Very pleased!
