The product itself is quite good. The instructions could have been made more clear as to how to install. Once the door is opened and "hooked" on the magnetic catch it is STRONG. The magnet holds well and you must give it a tug to separate the two parts when its time to close the door.

We have a few doors that don’t stay open so we added to the baseboard works perfect holds the door open. The first one we did we used the screws and worked out great ..2nd one we did we used the adhesive didn’t work so well. Better if you can use the screws to make sure it stays in place. Overall works well just depends on how to install it.

This is a very nice piece of hardware! It feels heavy and well-made, looks nice, and the magnet is very strong and holds well. The problem is the self stick tape which is worthless. I cleaned the door and cleaned the baseboard--both of which are very smooth finish--and attached both pieces yesterday. Within 12 hours both pieces fell off from their own weight. I can stick both on with the original tape but they just fall off again within an hour or two. If you don't mind drilling into your door or walls I'm sure this will work fine. But I didn't want to do either so this is a disappointment for me.
