This cable worked great in my TrueNAS build that included a SuperMicro SAS adapter. I selected this specific cable to extend past the 4 drives attached to the original cable and accommodate a lace of SATA/SAS power connectors. All of my SAS SSD and HDD were recognized at startup.

I was getting into the habit of switching to shorter cables found off amazon, since I didn't want the normal super long 1 meter sas cables in my Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL case. Only problem was that after two-three months I would start getting the dreaded Smart Error 199 (UDMA CRC error count). So, I started looking for short cables from reputable manufacturers. These .5m cables are a little long still, but no one reputable sells a .3m version. The wire thickness seems to be the same size as the cheap "blue wire" SAS cables; however, I haven't had any CRC errors since i got these cables. Also, if you are using shucked or enterprise drives, these use Molex power so it solves the 3.3v issue that you may face with cables using Sata power. Overall, this works perfect with my LSI 9400-16i HBA and my older LSI 9300-8i HBA.
