I didn’t realize how bad the audio quality was until I listened back—super compressed and muddy. But once I plugged the WD10S directly into my phone using the USB-C cable, the sound improved drastically. Clear, full, and way more professional-sounding. I’ve been using this microphone for some time now. The quality has been equal to my friends dji microphone. The noise cancelling is really good and combined with the wind covers there’s almost zero background noise. Each microphone is supposed to last 5 hours but I don’t think that’s accurate. It’s about 2.5 hours with the noise cancelling. But there are 4 mics at the ready so really if it’s just one project, a 2 second swap and you’re back up and going. I use this microphone every week during my zoom classes. They are typically 2 hours long and I rarely ever need to swap mics. The range is great as well. I can walk 40+ feet from my laptop and they are crystal clear. The case is easy to keep in my backpack so I always have them with me. I picked up a usb-c to usb-c connector to hook the receiver right to my phone instead of using the phono jack dongle included. I think the sound quality is better this way. But I can hook it directly to my phone or MacBook and use the mic in any app I need. Solid and reliable. And compared to some of the other mics out there these are a WAY better value.

I bought this kit so that I could have 4 microphones for my Panasonic S5iiX for a legal deposition video recording. I needed to be able to provide 1 mic for the deponent, 1 for each lawyer, and 1 for myself or the court reporter. I am used to having to bring a mixer and multiple microphones for a setup like this, and this worked much better. And the sound quality is fantastic! You can adjust the microphone level in 4 steps on each transmitter, and then even better you can separate 2 mics to one channel and 2 mics to the other channel. This was great because the deponent will always have his own channel and makes for great functionality for editing the footage. The battery life was good for probably 4-5 hours. If you need them to last for an 8-10 hours or more shoot, just buy two sets and swap them out at lunch time, and put the first set back on the charger in case you need to swap again, they’ll be charged before the 2nd set dies. I could buy two of these mic sets for cheaper than a mixer, 4 wired mics, cables, etc. Not to mention with this set, your audio setup is low profile, there’s no cables getting in the way, and you get just as good audio as you would with anything else. This would also be good for vloggers or YouTube channels. The mics are about the size of half a Bic lighter so they don’t really distract. Probably wouldn’t be the best thing for a narrative film, but for a documentary or interview situation they would work fine.

This system works well enough for what most people are going to use it for, sadly it no longer comes with the magnetic dots, at least mine didn't so that is a bit of a let down and drops this down to a 4 star as the product listing and all the review videos show them being included but they no longer are.
