A BIG Flashlight in a SMALL Package
The only thing "mini" about this handy, Made in China, Alonefire X65 Mini-LED USB Flashlight ... is it's size. The features that come with this flashlight are handy, and the actual LIGHT that comes from this flashlight is impressive. This flashlight is 3 inches long with a magnetic base that is 1 1/8 inches in diameter. Near the front of this light, it is just slightly larger in diameter than 1 1/8 inches. This flashlight is small enough to carry around in your pocket, but I would think it would be too large for "every day carry" in a pocket. It,would, however, easily fit into ... or clip onto ... a purse, handbag, or backpack with the handy belt clip. This flashlight uses one rechargeable 18350 battery, which is included. The cord to recharge this flashlight is also included, 20 inches in length, with a USB-A connector on one end, and a USB-C connector on the other end to fit into the flashlight. This light has a variety of white and red steady and flashing lights that you can read about in this Amazon listing. It does not have a "zoom" in or out feature. After I charged this flashlight, I played around with the different lights. I like that there are four different "levels" of white light, from "battery-saving" less light, to a "darkness-piercing," more power-hungry light, to fit your needs. Try out the "high-beam" on this flashlight and you can actually feel the heat on your hand if you hold it 2 inches away from the front of the light. And, yes, I had to try out the white "strobe" light. I've heard that a bright, flashing light pointed in the eyes of an intruder can be "disorienting." Try it out on this flashlight (VERY carefully!) and you'll be convinced, and impressed. And I tried it in the daytime. This flashlight includes a small inserted "Thank You" card from the manufacturer, which I always appreciate. However, what I appreciate even more is that they actually provide a direct contact email to be used, "If you have any questions or advice ... " almost as if they actually want to make it easier for us to contact them, rather than making us dig out their contact information from the Amazon listing.

Pretty slick little light
I have thing for flashlights - they're super handy to have, but you always think there might be an even better one out there. I go back and forth between keychain models and dedicated "standalone" flashlights (more powerful, but you have to dedicate pocket/belt space to them). This might be the best compromise I've found. It's super bright, has multiple settings, but is way smaller than "full size" pocket flashlights. Finish is good and seems robust (it'll hold up to anything I'm likely to do to it, anyway). Overall I've been really pleased with this little light.

Overly complicated user interface otherwise great
I'm kind of a flashlight geek. I have a lot of them and I enjoy thinking about flashlights. The current crop of flashlights are generally quite bright but they suffer sometimes from over enthusiastic engineers catering to the marketing folks who say the more modes the better. Anyway this one suffers from that problem. When you first turn the light on you have a quite nice moderately bright beam. Floody, not spot, good for a small light. If this works for you fine. But if you want to turn the flashlight off you have to press the on/off button four more times. Not fun if you use the light more than an occasionally. Now there are other modes that you can get into with a double press and a long press, however neither of them turn the actual light off. There are other complaints about the complicated modes of this flashlight but I'll just leave it at that. The other problem this light has, in common with some other flashlights of the current grou, is that it is nearly impossible to locate the on/off switch by feel alone. So if you're in a dark car and you're reach in your pocket for your flashlight and there isn't some other light already on, is very difficult to locate the on/off button. Similarly if you have a power outage when you're at home and you grab for your flashlight turning it on is a pain in the butt. Not impossible, just way more difficult than it should be. There are other lights of the current generation that have a easily distinguishable raised area that is the on/off switch, this one doesn't have that. Too bad because otherwise I really like this light. Oh I almost forgot, there is no useful instruction sheet or booklet, you have to figure out the various modes by experimentation.

Another great light
Alonefire has some good compact flash lights, i currently own two and both are great, i have the bigger version of this with more leds, the battery is much smaller than the other and in exchange its alot more compactcharges fast, very bright,

Decent compact light
This relatively little flashlight, but just right to fit all the LEDs and power dense battery for its size. The flashlight is very bright for its compactness and starts at the lower brightness setting and cycles to the brightest setting instead of brightest like other flashlights. You can expect about 2hrs straight of usage, starting from the brightest setting that tapers off to a lower brightness, so it can be mostly acceptable to use while working on something or intermittent use on the daily. The magnet on the base is a good feature to have to be able to mount it for hands free use or to simply stow it away without rolling away. Features a belt clip for easy pocketing. As usual with LED type lights, it is better to look at the emitter only at an angle if you want to see the light working and not to look directly into the light when on.
