Best soap! This is such a great soap for sensitive skin, no residue, light weight with still giving moisture and lathers up. This is also great for people that have tattoos or a fresh tattoo that needs to be cleaned with no fragrance, gentle mild soap.

Lots of lather that cleans very nicely. Because it’s pure soap with no fillers, dyes and fragrances, the bar floats instead of sinks. Each bar lasts a long time because there is no need to use much more to get the same results from other brands. Great for boating and bathing in the lake as they float if dropped in the water.

I read that the original Ivory bar soap was discontinued in 2023. This new version does not float. It sinks in water. It still cleans really well, but it is very drying to the skin. I have sensitive skin, and even though it is drying, this soap does not irritate my sensitive skin. I don't get a rash from using it. This soap does not have a strong fragrance. The soap that I got on here has the word, Ivory, carved into it. But I got this same soap elsewhere, and it did not have the word, Ivory, carved into it. That is strange. I have some bars left of the original Ivory bar soap. The older soap bars have completely different ingredients, and they float in water. The older version is gentler to the skin, and it is not quite as drying. It is more pure. I have been using Ivory Soap my whole life, and I wish they would go back to making the original version.

You get exactly what’s listed—4 bars of soap, which is great for the price. We plan to use them for a craft project carving into the soap, and the quantity is just right for our needs. The fragrance is mild, not overpowering, and while the bars are smaller than I remembered, they’ll work perfectly for our project.
