Engineering Science

It is helpful for this module but not a complete text book for it. For my liking it tries to cover too many different subjects and would be better concentrating on the sceince of engineering which is a big enough area to cover. It is very clera and easy to follow and well organised which is a great benefit for both staff using the book as a reference course or students needing it for their studies.

Used for my HNC in Engineering course and it worked a treat, I would recommend this book to any budding engineers and it is great for adding to the depth of knowledge gained during the courses.

A standard text, very well written.

I bought this book in order to re-visit, out of interest, the subjects that I covered in my HNC (Electronics) 1955-60. To my surprise, I found, on dipping into various sections, that it is full of errors in the formulae, the diagrams, and even in the arithmetic shown in the solutions to problems. I have the knowledge to spot these errors in the electronics and mechanical; engineering sections but not in the other sections, so there is no point in reading them as I can only assume that the same pattern of errors exists in those too.A textbook should be a reliable reference work, otherwise it is totally unfit for purpose, as in this case. I am amazed that it has survived several reprints without, apparently, these problems having been addressed. It is such a shame that such a well-presented, and potentially useful book should be unusable.I have contacted the publishers and pointed out the errors, but their response was to say that they no longer support this publication. If Amazon reads these reviews, may I respectfully state that it should be withdrawn from sale and refunds given where appropriate..

Ideal book for the engineering science module within the electrical engineering HNC.

Too many words required. Cant be bothered to review if i need to write a novel every time. Make this process easier
