I bought this dehydrator to replace an old one that had worn out. The operation is similar but I have to say, I am really enjoying the clear design of this one in comparison. Before, I was always lifting trays to check on the progress of dehydration, but with these trays I’m able to see. I don’t need to waste heat by constantly opening it to check anymore. I still do occasionally lift and rotate trays for long dehydrations but that is more out of habit than necessity. My old machine wasn’t as balanced in its drying and needed that. This machine is so much more consistent. The only thing that I wish had been included is solid trays for making fruit leather. I had some from my old machine that fit. They can be bought separately if you want them and I will probably do that to upgrade to more modern silicone. Some things I like about this machine are the adjustable temperature and number of trays included. I find dehydrators work best, the more trays I have inside, which is probably why the heat is so even in this one. The trays are dishwasher safe, which is a help, especially if making something messy like jerky. Because of the large diameter, I lay them flat on the top shelf to do so. It is a very nice dehydrator. Perfect size for pretty much everything I need. Good for making dehydrated meals for camping, preserving stuff from my garden, making jerky and fruit leathers, etc.

Seems to work fine. I tried drying some parsley. According to the internet you should dry it at 95 degrees, so I set the temperature at the first notch. It took a long time, over 10 hours and it still was not dry. However, since it was new I kept unplugging it every time I left the house, for safety purposes until I was sure it would be safe to continue to run unattended. The power cord is short which is as electrical guidelines indicate, and you are not to place it on any flammable surfaces, wood trivets, or counters, cutting boards, so I placed it on my stove. Eventually I placed it on a metal rack that actually elevated it to 2 inches above any surface. Dehydrator was fine, and did get warm. I finally turned it up to the mark at 104 degrees and it finished drying. So the temperature knob is a little confusing to interpret. I do like the fact that there is a temperature control, it is very easy to clean and is actually very compact. I think it will work fine for my needs.

Great price and just the right size I wanted. I bought another brand before this and it was much louder and took longer. This Nutrichef is very quiet. It does it's job in a timely manner and has a nice compact look to it.

I’ve had this for a little over a month now. I’m a newbie at dehydrating foods, but it seems to work okay. It just takes a really long time. My biggest disappointment is that it’s flimsy. One of my trays has already broken and the lid is cracked.

Bought to dehydrate figs. Dehydrated figs without issues. Very easy to use and clean.

I bought this to use in a vacation travel trailer. In limited space situations, I try to find something that's big enough to get the job done without taking up too much space to use or store away. This dehydrator is the perfect size to meet those requirements. I also am partial to the square shape versus round. I think the corners add a little surface area to each tray while still maintaining a compact size. I'm happy with this little dehydrator.
