Measure the diameter of shop vac hose end and if it is around 1 1/4 inches it should fit, otherwise not. If your vacuum is the hart 1,5 gal one, it probably would fit, since the hose diameter is 1.25 inches. So, go for it.

I'm not sure. I've never heard of that. What you can do is measure the diameter of the opening to where it would normally fit on yours against the measurement of this one. Sorry. I wish I could be of more help.
