I plugged this in unison with a Chromecast, and it worked perfectly. The CC picked up the Ethernet connection without any issues.

It works exactly as described for my Chromecast with Google TV. To add ethernet. However, it appears the ethernet port may not be soldered correctly to the board or is loose cuz if you bump the cable you lose connection.
