Grandson built over a few days, one part missing but we did okay. Once built, it is fragile, but secure enough. It does operate but snapped together - it is not meant to be a high precision engine - parts fly off, connections separate. It is a toy that operates.

Absolutely amazing. I am a nerd who like mechanical stuff and as soon as I saw the recommendation of a lego V8 engine, I clicked Buy Now. And boy oh boy I was not disappointed. The quality of each pieces were amazing. However, the instructions were a bit misleading (not enough to not complete it) and I have to go back few steps and redo it again. Apart from that, it looks amazing after completion.

Quality of the is great however not perfect . Once build together everything worked fine but one piece was off and that threw off the whole function once it started running. It was easy to assemble however and the design was perfect. For the price this was worth trying.

I’m an 82 year old female who loves Motorsports. Bought as a fun project to stop knitting. It was great fun, a bit challenging but when finished attached controller and Voila,it worked!

I'd give it negative stars, but I can't. Junk from the beginning, missing parts, instructions are terrible and show different things on different pages. Doesn't fit together well and just all around waste of money. DO NOT BUY

This is the second time I’ve purchased this brand. I can’t say much about missing pieces because I haven’t been able to progress that far on either kit. There are pieces that just don’t go together; the hex pins specifically. I have trimmed, filed, pushed, pulled and it hurts my hands. A very discouraging, not fun experience. An update: I have since purchased a much larger engine from Mould King. This one is going well and I feel better about the brand. The instructions are a little weird in places and some parts have had to be rearranged. It is useful to have extra parts on hand. I had to replace 2 axles that weren’t long enough for their purpose. I will use this smaller build for parts.

Got this for my 11 grandson. He assembled it in an hour with no assistance. Loves it.

nice little engine no parts missing. what i did since i do not plan to take apart was i clued my sprockets when i made sure everythng was right plus i took a link out of the chain, runs like it should. now i am going to put engine sound from an old rc truck i have that has a mode for engine sound i think i will buy a bigger one now, was a nice little project very pleased with the price and product cheers

Der V8 ist richtig klasse! Wer schon ein paar "asiatische Klemmbausteine" zusammengebaut hat weiss, dass hier die Anleitungen nicht falsch, aber komplexer sind. Es gibt kaum knallbunte Farbcodierung der Steine, manche unterscheiden sich nur in Nuancen, und die drei Grautöne auseinanderzuhalten benötigt schon Konzentration. Auch kennen die einschlägigen Hersteller keine saubere Tütennummerierung. Es sind zwar Nummern drauf, aber meist sind die benötigten Teile für Step 2 in der Tüte für Step 5, oder es bleibt ganz viel aus der 2 für später über, baugleiche Teile sind in mehreren Tüten verteilt, und, und und. Das ist bei diesem recht simplen Modell nicht anders. Wer sich dennoch in Ruhe (!) damit auseinandersetzt, kriegt ein echt witziges Stück Technik mit - meiner Meinung nach - sogar Vitrinenqualität. Den e-Motor und die Akkubox habe ich demontiert. Zum einen sieht es blöde aus, zum anderen dreht damit der Motor eh viel zu schnell und plastik-klapprig. Dann lieber per Hand ein paar entspannte Umdrehungen machen. Die Bewegung ist frei, sobald der e-Motor abgezogen ist. Übrigens, wer das Gefühl hat, eine der beiden 32-Elemente-Ketten auf 31 zu kürzen, weil sie dann nicht mehr leicht durchhängt: danach dreht der Motor nicht mehr ganz sauber. Das merkt man im ersten Moment nicht, aber auf Dauer rütteln sich die glatten Plastikscheiben lose. Wenn die erstmal lose sind, lockert sich die Kurbelwelle. Einfach 32 Elemente verbauen, dann läuft es sauber. Ich hatte ursprünglich vor, den V8kurz aufzubauen und dann schnell wieder zu verkaufen. Jetzt behalte ich ihn. Super Teil!
