The picture is magnificent!
My reviews tend to be long, I try to give you MY experience and thoughts. Quick answer to "should I buy it?", YES! I upgraded from a Samsung - 55" Class 7 Series LED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV bought 4 years ago, didn't need to upgrade but I wanted too and am so glad I did. The picture is simply magnificent, just unbelievable. My wife is amazed (always a win!!). My review/experience after 30 days (I'll come back if things change and update) - Unboxing/setup - I HIGHLY recommend having someone help with this, and have a good size table covered with soft bath towels to set it on. You have to set it face down to attach the pedestal and although there is protective film on the screen, I wouldn't take the risk of an accidental scratch. Once in place, set up was easy, on-screen directions for connection, pretty standard set up for today's type of devices. My home theater is driven via a high-end ASUS 4K gaming pc, through a Yamaha 4K home theater amp running in 5.1, and out to Yamaha floor loudspeakers, center, and powered sub, Polk's for the rears, `net signal is highspeed direct LAN connection to the PC. I mention my setup so others running this type of home theater will get a more apples to apples review. The picture is glorious, an unbelievable upgrade from my aforementioned Samsung. I've watched the TV direct as a smart TV and again the picture is superb, cannot comment about the TV sound as I run through a home theater setup as mentioned above. So far this TV has well exceeded my expectations - crystal clear vibrant life-like picture, well balanced color etc. Highly recommend.

Excellent TV with great screen quality and sound.
This TV has lives up to the hype so far. The image or picture quality has been top notch and the sound from the speakers has been decent. Can't complain.

Buyer Beware!!!
I waited until today to write this review of this TV for a specific reason to be shared below. This comment has NOTHING to do with the seller or the actual delivery and setup. Both of those parts of the purchase went without issue or headache. This TV was delivered December 9th and on Sunday December 29th the TV would not turn on. I first thought it might be the remote not getting enough solar charge, but that didn't seem to fix the issue after letting the remote set in light for a while. Not a reason I am giving this TV a score of 1 star, but there should be a way to see if the remote is getting enough power or is charging at all. I find it a bit ridiculous that there isn't a couple of LED lights on the remote to just let you know where you are in the charging aspect. I then did what any normal person would do and went to the Samsung website for assistance. The Samsung website was so useless that I don't even understand why they have the help section. No red light? Try a different plug>You think!? It worked yesterday, but sure. Push the home button on the remote>Okay, but I don't know if the remote is charged, but nothing changed Hit the power button on the TV to see if that fixes the issue> Okay, where is the power button? Since I have no manual and couldn't seem to find it on the website, I could only find "For newer models it is usually on the right side of the TV" > Only HDMI/USB ports on the right side of the TV. Out of options, I went to chat and got the automated chat that took me through the same steps. I get that for people who didn't read the help section. Then I requested to chat with someone, that person just wrote down what the help and automated chat stated before. I had to provide the SN of the device prior to them proceeding. When we got to the power button part, I kept saying there isn't a power button over here. Then I would ask through chat, you have my model, where is the power button? I just received the can answer of it being on the right side of the TV. I asked to escalate it to someone who wasn't going to provide me the canned answers and could actually help, I was directed to the Samsung in house support. I decided that trying chat again was not going to be useful. I then thought about returning the TV and purchasing something else, but got a good deal on this one for Black Friday. I decided to move forward with the in home support. The first day that they had available was Friday Jan 3rd, meaning 20 days of owning the TV it goes out and I have to wait 6 days with a broken TV equaling a 76% uptime on a brand NEW TV! I went back and started watching my 14 year old Panasonic Plasma TV ( I know old, but it was working) until the repairman arrived. I made sure that it was accessible per their instructions. When HE arrived to work on it, he informed me that I had to HELP him take it off the stand, place it on the floor for him to work on it. I asked him if he had a blanket for the floor and he seemed shocked that I wasn't going to provide my blanket for him to repair my device. He went and got one from the truck after he remember he had one. We put it down for him to repair the device and put it back together and back on the stand. He left in a rush that he didn't realize that he had left a part in the back of the TV. We had to do the same steps again to get HIS part out of the back of my TV! Before him leaving I asked if he had anything to clean the screen and he said no and left. This got me starting to think where else do we accept this type of behavior? Would anyone go to get an oil change and need to help the mechanic drain the oil, because he couldn't? Then when getting back in the vehicle it is covered in oil and they just skip away! What about the people at home that cannot assist the in home support to get the TV down and on the floor? Do they just cancel and say, that is on you to get it on the floor, because that isn't the instructions provided prior to them coming out to fix a BRAND NEW TV! My impression? The TV is Junk The Chat/help is worthless In Home support is slow and lacking forethought

QD OLED is the truth.
I decided to go with this screen over the matted s95D. I've never been a fan of matted screens and neither should you. You are better off purchasing this screen over any other OLED. It was a tough choice spending more for LG which does boast amazing brightness with their new G4 and stupendous image processing. However, if you do your research they are asking more money (in some cases nearly a grand more) for dated tech. How they do this without anyone calling them out for it is beyond me. The color gamut for their tvs is about the same as it has been for at least the past 8 years. If you don't believe me you don't have to rely on my disinformation, go see it for yourself on ratings.com. This tv is incredible and I just couldn't justify the higher price for LG WOLED oled vs quantum dot oled. That being said, the out of the box settings do need some tweaking. Don't be one of those people that just buys a tv and turns it on and uses it as is..if you are one of those people don't buy this tv. Get yourself a used old tv from a thrift shop if that is what you bought this tv to do. That being the case, I didn't realize why my picture was so dimm. Then I saw there is this annoying auto eco mode dimming thing that you need to disable in order to keep your picture running nice and bright. Also, if you can help it do not connect this to the internet. Samsung has a nasty habit of nerfing your tv brightness level (brightness matters when utilizing content it's not just about blasting your face with light for those that don't understand what I am saying). I was fortunate enough to get this used like new with older firmware. Connected my roku stick and called it good. Don't let them mess with your tv if you can help it. I haven't tried gaming yet but no doubt once I get setting dialed in like I so right now I will love that too! You won't regret this purchase. I will say though that TCL mini led is bringing some ugly fierce competition and if you have a room with alot of light coming in go buy one of those sets instead. Other than that, this tv was worth every penny. I will update this review if anything changes.

Great picture and Samsung quality. The UI is also great!
The color/ image are superior! It is really worth it to get the OLED versus the QLED! The viewing angle is awesome too! You can see it from any angle at all and the color and clarity are still great! Our only negative is that it wasn't available in 5 inches longer. The next size was 75 inches, which was too big. This is a little too small for our living room wall.

Great TV, but...
Picture is great. Only issue so far is, after 2 months, the tv would not turn on. Called customer service and a technician came out a couple of days later. He took the back off and replaced a part inside. Easy fix, under warranty so no cost. Been working fine since then, about 4 months. Only 4 stars because of this issue.

S90D is a dream, even more outstanding dialed in.
Great tv with very accurate color and crisp image. If you set your settings to the following, you’ll be blown away; most can be found in Pictures / Expert Settings. Color Tone: "Warm2” for a more accurate and natural color temperature. Color Space: "Auto’ works well for different situations. Color Booster and Contrast Enhancer: left “OFF”; no need and will throw off color accuracy IMO. Peak brightness: set to “high”. Picture Clarity: to Auto’. Power and Energy Saving:OFF so you won’t get any unwanted dimming. Lastly, when you’re streaming a movie, change “HDR Tone Mapping”: to “Static”, to finish off settings. You’ll get crazy accurate colors and a solid picture with absolutely no blooming. Jaw dropping. Can be viewed from any wide angle without losing quality or brightness at all. This was very important to me and weighed on my deciding factor. There is no darkening of the screen and no green tint when looking from the side, as when I do occasionally watch TV at an angle from the kitchen while cooking. I’m very satisfied. QD OLED has notably brighter color volume, better gradients than WOLED panels, and doesn’t suffer at all from these issues that WOLED panels do. I found ‘Filmmaker Mode’ and ‘Movie Mode’ the best picture modes. Choose what you think is best between the two. I set mine to Filmmaker mode 24/7, for colors as the director intended. Watching scenes with deep dark blacks is no issue for the S90D. I watched ‘Venom - The Last Dance’ which had killer inky blacks with no crushing. The S90D handles dark scenes superbly. Those that are wondering if not having Dolby Vision makes a difference, I can tell you it does not IMO. I watched ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ in Dolby Vision played in HDR, and tone mapping was done brilliantly, still providing life-like vivid clarity and a stunningly radiant picture. I’m going to be just fine without DV :) On high-end TVs such as the S90D, it’s a moot point it’s HDR quality is so good. I don’t own Blu-ray media. I stream and watch HDR cable content. HDR10+ content is as good as DV in its own right. I watched “Borderlands” which was 3D like, eye-popping color. Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, AppleTV and Paramount+ now support HDR10+ to name some I know. Disney just announced they are also starting. Dolby Atmos enabled works great. The S90D gets pretty loud without distortion, and voices are never buried. I was really impressed with the sound’s presence and volume. Even has a little bass! The Samsung Tizen OS isn’t perfect, but it’s customizable to your preferences. It’s not invasive of your privacy, with no forced pop-up ads or solicitations while you watch tv or search for channels. Navigating through the Samsung Tizen OS is rather simple to learn. I bought an Xbox controller and through Tizen ‘Game Hub’ , tried a subscription of ‘Xbox Ultimate Game Pass’, without a console. It is super fun. I played games like Halo, Battlefield 4, and Forza 5, to name a few. The games are fluid with no stutter at all and look amazing! It is a lot of fun by just adding a game controller. What an awesome value if you don’t own a console to be able to game on the S90D. It does it so well and is console-free. I thought it was an easy setup from start to finish. I’m very happy with this absolutely gorgeous TV. :) I did add a 3-year Asurion Insurance protection to cover myself from any QC issues that may arise and suggest you do so on ANY TV at this price point, for peace of mind and just enjoy. :D

Once you go OLED...
First of all the Amazon unpack crew were awesome. I'm incredibly pleased with their service. Now to the TV. WOW. OMG. AMAZING. :) For those that need more details this replaced a 10-year-old Samsung vanilla LED backlit LCD TV. My old TV had no local zones, no real HDR, and while it said I had Dolby I never got it to work. After 10 years of moderate use the LEDs are burning out leaving darker areas all over the screen. For what I paid it's been a good TV but the technology has changed a lot since I bought it. I decided to spend a little more $$ this time and try OLED and I'm glad I did. The picture is stunning and the sound is very good without any help (I will be adding 5.1). My living room is dark but even with the windows uncovered the picture is clear and bright with barely any glare. I don't like the remote because I have very large hands and it is very tiny. I have managed to use it and like that it's solar powered but seriously can't they make them a little larger? I'm not thrilled with the overly complex Samsung home screen but then I'm used to a fire stick which has a nice simple functional home screen. In all if it holds up over time I'm very pleased with both the set and the Black Friday deal on Amazon.
