Perfect fit and Quality, Can't go wrong with Amazon & Dorman!
Imagine my surprise when I pulled up to work, put the truck into park, removed my seat-belt and when I went to open the door the handle snapped off? I paused for a second to wonder why had this door handle come off in my hand? Could it be that my wishes came true and I am now as strong as Superman? Upon further inspection I realized that it had been cracked and just gave way, so no superman here! I was still kind of confused, how was I to get out without having to climb over to the passenger side? Again I was kind of in a confused fog of early morning, a door handle in my hand, coffee not yet consumed and realizing that my superman fantasy was without merit, so please excuse the fact that it took again a pause of deep thought... "Oh, roll the window down and use the exterior handle you doofus!" Believe it or not, I managed to make it into the office without any further issues and right to Amazon.com I went. In the past every part I've received from them has been perfect and priced right. This Dorman Door handle did not let me down, with prime I had it fast and the actual install is a breeze. The worst part was removing the door panel, but if you search Youtube for "How To Install Repalce Inside Door Handle Chevy GMC Pickup Truck" you'll find plenty of videos that will walk you through the process. It is a perfect match to the factory part and everything lined up correctly without issue. Thank you Amazon, for the Right Part at the Right Price!

Fits a 1999 Suburban just fine. Installed perfectly
My son broke the original handle. As these trucks age (GMT400 series), the inner pull rods get stretched out, requiring you to pull harder and harder to open them from the inside. Before beginning, I recommend you get a rivet gun. They are reasonably affordable. Have a small assortment of rivets on hand. On my 99 Suburban, this is not an easy thing to bolt on, I would have a really hard time reaching behind the metal frame of the door to hold a nut steady. Rivet gun turned this into a quick easy fix. Your door lock actuators can also be riveted in. Those are much easier to reach, so bolts/nuts are an option there, but I didn't see bolts as an option on my Suburban for the door handle It's a fairly simple fix, even if the inner handle isn't broke. Buy a door panel removal ($10 lifesafer, makes the job much simpler). 1) Pop the trim ring off from around the handle. 2) Remove the two screws holding the interior door pull down. 3) Use the panel removal tool to pop loose all the snap connectors (start at the bottom). Do ONLY the bottom and 2 sides. 4) Lift UP to unhook the top part of the door panel. 5) Maneuver it carefully so you can unplug all the electrical connectors without ripping the wiring loose. Set panel aside. 6) Drill out the rivet holding this in (mine was aluminum, easy to drill out) and slide the old door handle assembly to the side to remove it. 7) Slide the new one in place. Bolt or rivet it in place. I chose a 3/16" aluminum rivet since it's WAY quicker and I had a rivet gun. There are piles of good videos online for this, just search around. This is a common fix.

Good
These handles are pretty much all made the same the problem is that these vehicles have very heavy doors so they hang and the actual Handel bears all the distress and constantly break form the exact same place. But that’ALL including the ones the vehicle came with. So these are a perfect match I’ll continue to buy as long as I have my older model vehicle.

Perfect Replacement - 1996 Chevy Pckup 1500
My original issue: i had too much slack in the the wire linkage from handle to the lock mechanism. Once I removed door panel and took up the slack, it caused strain on the 27 yr-old plastic of the door handle, so it broke clean. Since this hand-me-down has a newly re-built engine, a newly installed spider-injection system, new sensors throughout, new plugs+wires, battery and brand new starter, anything little thing on this beast is worth replacing, as it's sure to last another 300K+ miles. Easy fix and this was a perfect fit for my 1996 Chevy truck. The color didn't match my blue interior, but who cares... this one got here quicker and was half the price.

Worked perfectly to replace the rear drivers side door handle on my 1996 suburban, keep in mind you will have to drill out the existing rivet to remove the old on, I would recommend using a riveter to install the new handle as well, which is what I did, think it took a 3/16 rivet to do the job, happy with purchase well worth the money to fix a broken handle assembly.

This was the easiest fix I have done to my truck. The original handle broke, after 22 years, and for the price of this replacement it wasn't worth my time trying to patch the old one. Ten minutes to remove old handle and replace with this one. Hopefully I don't have to buy another one, but if I did I would purchase from Doorman again.
