A1322 Battery for MacBook Pro 13 inch A1278 2009 2010 2011 2012 Laptop Unibody Replacement Batteries

A few weeks on and I've been delighted with this battery. A computer repair shop wanted to charge me £90 (plus labour costs) for a new one, so I was delighted to pick this up for the price. Perfect fit for my mid-2012 13" Macbook Pro. Difficult to comment at this point on the life-span of the battery, but I've definitely noticed an improvement in battery life compared to the old one. I read here (or elsewhere) about the computer reporting inaccurate battery life, and that's likely because they didn't calibrate their new battery. You need to charge it right the way up and leave it for a couple of hours, then unplug and discharge until the computer shuts down (amend your power-saving settings to do this). Finally charge it right the way up again. A quick search will give you more detailed instructions than I have here. All in all, can't fault it. Really pleased.

Got this as my previous battery had become so bad that I couldn't use my laptop without it being plugged in all the time. This helped it loads. It has about 3 hours on it till it dies which is fantastic considering my previous battery. For it's price its great. Was very easy to install, comes with screwdrivers so you don't mess up your macbook either. Love this battery and will purchase again when my current one dies on me!

The Macs of this era have a fault where the battery starts to bulge with age and presses on the underside of the trackpad, and the trackpad gets worse and worse until eventually you can't click it at all. Luckily the battery is quite easy to replace: you take a few screws off to detach the bottom panel, then a couple more screws on the battery, and prise the connector out. Within a few minutes you have the new battery in place. This kit comes the screwdriver you need, and it's all very straightforward.

Not the best replacement battery but sadly apple don’t make oem batteries that match this anymore so this battery seemed like the best value replacement to get. Whilst the battery works and fits well, it doesn’t hold power for as long as it should. Several times within the first month of use I noticed my Mac randomly turning off without any notification of power running low. I’ve noted it happen when the battery gets to 40%, 32% and 30% and when I power it back on with the charger plugged in it would report the battery to be at 1% and charging. This is quite a nuisance with it being so random as it means you can’t trust your battery and run the mac without being plugged in. Not ideal if you need your system to be mobile so for that reason I’d not recommend this battery but if that isn’t an important feature for you then this battery should suit you fine.

The delivery of date & time of the battery was as stated at checkout. The battery itself is working as intended, and so far holds charge. Under normal useage, it approximately lasts 2-3hrs (web browsing) once fully charged. Whilst charged, it states that the battery is good for 4 hrs +. However, that is quickly reduced to around 2.5-3 hour mark, and stagnates thereabouts. What I did realise was the battery life starts to drop significantly (rapidly) when the fan starts to spin. Effecting the charge down to at 1.5hr mark. All in all, since my old battery was in terrible state. The replacement battery did help. I will amend the star rating once I have used the battery for longer, to write up an accurate review. Edit: I’ve noticed the battery when on sleep mode (stand by), it doesn’t hold it’s charge for more than a day and a half at most. Needing it to be plugged in, to retain the juice needed to be mobile. Latest Edit: Sadly, I found the battery to be bloated. To clarify. The laptop wasn’t used for much at all. It sat on a shelf only to be turned on four times a year. Today I found the battery bloated/expanded, pushed the bottom cover open on the corner. I will try to contact the seller as this isn’t normal for battery to be in this condition.

Arrived next day. Very easy to install. The 2 little screwdrivers provided were all that was needed. I've only had it a week so I don't know how it will do in the long term, but so far it has made a big difference to my 2011 MacBook pro. It's still warm but a lot cooler than my old battery. It last many hours, though not sure exactly how many. That varies according to what the computer is doing. The other big change is that the old battery had slightly swelled and was making the touchpad unresponsive. With this battery the touchpad is back to full functionality.

This is the second one I brought - last one was Sept 2018 - and lasted pretty well till now - lasting about 45mins - to start with I think about 4 hrs depending on load - the screwdrivers are handy and the correct for the job - not hard to fit - just remember where the screws all go as different lengths - £50 I believe good value.

Ordered a new battery at 3pm it arrived the next day. (With screw drivers required). Few screws to open the back (place them in a logical order), and two holding screws and it’s off. Ease the power connector up gently with non metallic item, then reverse process. Very quick and easy process 10mins max. Great product fitted easily, and was up and running in minutes of its arrival.
