Haven't benched too many hours with it yet, early in but tested throughput against my other name-brand SSD's it measures up, so for the price this seems like a good expenditure. As always time will tell but so far it is working fine and up to specs.

This drive replaced a slower and older drive for a Ubuntu Linux computer. installed out of the box without any problems or issues. Has good boot times. The long term reliability is unknown, but it was a good buy for about 20.00

Works well

I have 2 ASUS laptop computers running on Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro/ Both the computers started having massive trouble booting up Windows. One took at least 10 minutes to finally get to the Home screen. The other one would take up to 4-5 times even getting it started. They are used in a home environment and really don't have heavy use on them. I bought 2 replacement drives from this company and I'm happy to report that they are super fast, have universal fit, and just drop in after removing the shield on the mechanical hard drive. Windows installs in like 10 minutes using a usb stick with creation media on it. This is a great product and will bring a useless bricked computer not only back to life, but, super fast. One is running an I5 and the other an I7. So...If you have an ASUS that won't run or is so slow as to be useless.... It's probably your Hard drive. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS SSD drive. From a piece of Trash to as good as new now. Build quality is excellent Installation is easy for any reasonably mechanically inclined persons In fact a lot easier than I thought it would be, Really happy everything works GREAT now!

Seven months after my initial use, the 4tb version of the drive failed. I can see what is on it but trying to write or read starts but then stops after a short time. Maybe the cache failed somewhere? It looks like that anyway. Then the drive disappears and has to be unplugged and then plugged back in. It's not even warm to the touch. I tried it mounted in a NAS in a sata port, and on several proven usb to sata adapters with the same outcome. I went to their site, tried to download their SSD Management Tool but the download gets shutdown and I get a warning the file has a trojan virus. To be fair, other tech guys will tell you ANY SSD firmware tool will trip your antivirus because it deals with hardware at a low level. So whether or not it is a legitimate tool or actually has a virus remains unknown and I cannot rule out a firmware glitch that could be fixed with an update. I lost a lot of data, 1.8 tb worth, but it can be recovered. Today I just bought another WD Blue SSD since I already have 2 and they have been solid performers. I took the risk, tried to save some money when the SSD's spiked. Never again. I don't know if I can get a refund at 7 months, or just a warranty replacement. I hope the former because how can I trust this brand? Even a replacement? UPDATE - I reached out again but this time I was told that they responded by message here on Amazon. It looks like they are going to take care of me. I asked for diagnostic tools, firmware updater, and software that will allow me to stress test the drive to make sure it is working. If they follow through with a fix (firmware) or a replacement, I will upgrade my review.

Works as expected. Used for backup in a separate USB enclosure on my Linux laptop. You need to format the drive before use.

Excelente Disco duro a excelente precio

Oct 16 2023: I am not sure if this drive is QLC or TLC. It says something else on its website and information page but has some other info on the drive. Cannot tell if this is honest business practice by the manufacturer or not. Why do you have to mislead the buyers? I may possibly return this and buy a samsung or patriot instead IF I cannot find correct spec of it being TLC or QLC drive. I may keep it if it is indeed TLC with an SLC cache; because then it will be a decent cheap 2TB drive to add. I am deliberating on this still. Reviews by users suggest this may not be a bad deal. Update Oct 21–. Im keeping it. I connected. It was initialized and ready in 2 minutes via a sata external case I bought and Im good to go. I will use this as an external storage drive. Will possibly buy the pro version next and add another 2TB if it goes on sale. Its the cheapest ssd so far. Still not sure if its tlc or qlc. Updated Dec 1 2025: Im getting good results as external drive with USB-C connection. Tested with Samsung Magician for speed and its above 550MBPS Read and 480MBPS Write at no activity other than storage of movies only. So far it’s been good. I have shifted all movies and songs to this because that is not so important data. All the imp data is on Samsungs. Read Write speeds are slow as mentioned but could be also due to external connection via USB-C through a SATA enclosure. Im not complaining at all. Better than HDD or Fake Samsungs sold by walmart from China. I think for the price this 2TB with 3 year limited warranty is not a bad decision at all to save unimportant files. Go for it..!

Atendeu a expectativa e chegou no prazo previsto

Right like any normal person i saw a uknown brand ssd and intantly thought ill buy it now then ill swap it out for a known brand at the end of the month however this drive had been beautiful i orginally had it a laptop that id replaced the hdd with and it improved the performance loads my boot time was practically shot in half, then once i built my pc i had no use for my laptop so took the drive out and stuck it in my ps4 and now that console yes its outdated and stil quite slow for the games i play it sped up the loading a lot and has been there ever since and even checking the drive with crystal disk its still running perfectly with no issues. so i will be buy ing more drives rom Fanxiang in the future

Disco duro con una capacidad enorme por el precio que tiene. Lo estoy usando para juegos y va perfecto: rápido, estable y sin ningún fallo de momento. Se acabó estar instalando y desinstalando todo el tiempo. Sobre la capacidad real: los fabricantes calculan 1 TB como 1.000 GB, pero Windows lo interpreta en binario, donde 1 TB equivale a 1.024 GB. Por eso el sistema hace la cuenta así: 4.000 GB ÷ 1.024 ≈ 3.72 TB visibles. No es que falte espacio, es simplemente cómo lo mide el sistema. Muy contento con la compra.
