Desoldering Bulb, a Good One
If you are soldering electronic parts (resistors, capacitors, diode, etc,), onto an electronic circuit board, and you mistakenly get a little extra solder where you don’t want it, this device is a perfect suction, to remove such said solder when it’s in a molten state. **This device is purely for an application described above. This device is not for large applications, plumbing, etc., it is purely for VERY small parts, i.e., If you’re building an electronic kit or something of that nature. The bulb is a flexible rubber, and seems to be of decent material. I would certainly buy another if I needed a second.

Outstanding performance: Next best thing to a Hakko de-soldering station
I've tried using the spring loaded de-soldering tools. While they might work for some applications, they tend to jar the assembly from which the solder is being removed. This is unacceptable in many cases, especially for printed circuit board assemblies. This solder bulb does not jar the assembly, has excellent suction and is easy to clean. This bulb also beats all of the de-soldering braid that I have recently tried using. When using de-soldering braid on a printed circuit board assembly, there is much more danger of lifting a pad or damaging a circuit trace than there is when using this bulb.

Better than Desoldering Pumps IMO.
This tool is smaller than it looks in the picture. It's a little pricey for what it is. I had one decades ago when I did a lot of soldering. I bought this to have on hand on the rare occasion I need to remove solder. But the main reason I bought it was to blow out my electric shaver. I don't like running water over it every day and waiting for it to dry. And I also don't want to drag out my air compressor. Not only does it suck up solder well, it also blows out a strong, concentrated stream of air if you squeeze the bulb quickly. It works well to blow out my shaver. However the tip has fallen out a few times. A small piece of duct tape fixed that problem. $10 is a little much for desoldering but for me it's multi purpose. LOL. I like desoldering bulbs better than desoldering pumps because the suction is more controllable and gentle. Old school is sometimes better.

Good de-soldering bulb
Just like I used 40 years ago. Classic design.

Take note of the size, as…
…it is much much smaller than I had expected - and, therefore, outrageously-over-priced. I bought it for a gift - for a sister who’s soldering some cathedral glass and I wanted her to have a de-soldering aid. Well, she has one now - and it’s a good thing she has small hands (I actually think it’s bigger on my iPad than in my hand). My bad for not looking for and verifying size before buying it. Oh, and it appears that they “tested” it before shipping it to me - as it had a bit of solder in it (you infer from that - I did).

Nice piece, I put it on the table..
the darn cat knocked it off the table and the dogs chewed it to pieces. I have to order another as I never got to use it but looks and feels like it will do the job easily. No cat or dogs were harmed during the post destruction event.

Works well
This is the type of de soldering tool I used to use and actually prefer them over the spring loaded type. When I saw this, I had to get it. This so far has worked well. The tip is a bit larger than expected but so far not a problem. Ideally, they should have two tips, one the size that is on here and one smaller for fine work.

Does not work very well.
I had a similar suction bulb for years but rarely ever used it. I bought some up-grade kits for some microphones and I was going to have do do some de-soldering. I realized that the point was split so I ordered a couple of these from Amazon. When they arrived, I got started on my project. I quickly learned that this bulb did not work very well. The tip was too big to get down over the joint and so it would not suck very well. I've since ordered three other options and I'm waiting on those to arrive and I'll see if they will work any better. In summary, the de-soldering bulb would just not work for de-soldering something on a circuit board. It was a waste of money.
