Amust read for those who were thinking about purchasing Roborock products
Let me give you a quick profile of my background before I begin. I’ve been in the industry for over 45 years in the field of quality assurance and technology set ups. When I purchased the ultra max seven unit from this Robo rock company, I had done a lot of reading and research and it appeared that this company was legitimate and was a high-quality product. It wasn’t long till I found out this was not the case. Initially, the robotics worked seamlessly out of the box for approximately a year. After that, I suddenly noticed that the dustbin system was not empty due to the fact there were residual that it failed to clean. Due to my aforementioned background in quality assurance and engineering, I carefully inspected and scrutinized the unit to make sure that there wasn’t something that I had overlooked that was causing some sort of blockage, preventing the dustbin from empty at the robot and properly dispose of it in the docking station bag. Initially, this did not concern me due to the fact, I felt that customer support team or their service tech team may have a solution or a firmware update that I had overlooked. This, however, was not the case. This is where it went completely off the rails as far as any quality assurance and help from the Roborock company was concerned. I can honestly say all I got was a lot of lip service and eventually after repeated phone calls I finally got the greenlight to send it to their so-called service depot in Plano Texas. I carefully packaged the unit treating it like the expensive big ticket item it is and within the timeframe for evaluation and repair. Unfortunately, after quite a number of weeks and receiving it in a generic box labeled refurbished, when I opened it up to inspect the contents, it looked like it was a Friday and the service personnel could care less about protecting this expensive piece of TECH. In other words, it was thrown recklessly and haphazardly back in the box. furthermore, instead of utilizing a form factor packaging process they were too cheap. They even use their own packaging materials. In other words I got my packaging bubble wrap that of course, was used and somewhat damaged and shipment haphazardly partially wrapping some of the sub assemblies. That was the first problem, but not the worst. After a careful inspection to see how much damage and there was some surface damage due to the poor packaging protocol, I initially set up the unit to run an integrity verification test to make sure that the unit in fact had been repaired as promised and warranted. So what I did is, I ran a mock test, which is what I did in my profession, And cycled the dustbin system to see if in fact, it would clear out the onboard dustbin. I ran this op check over a dozen times using different samples of light medium some of it lighter than a feather and it failed 12 out of 12 times minimum. So it’s back to the phones to call customer service again. Again, they pass it on to somebody in what they call their technical department, which means you will get nobody to call you only an email asking you to check every single nook and cranny for some kind of obstruction, which is obviously a waste of my time because there is no obstruction it’s just a canned email. So after some back-and-forth with customer service, I finally get a follow up email to send it back to Plano Texas with the option to swap it with another refurbished Ultra max seven replacement. After more weeks and more weeks, I finally get a replacement also labeled refurbished this time in fresh packaging. Naturally, I carefully remove each assembly and sub assembly set it up and run the same testing to verify that the dustbin emptying system is now functioning as designed. I ran a half dozen sample mock tests. At that point it seem like the unit was finally functioning as engineered. Next up on the integrity test was the mopping system to make sure that the mopping system was functioning properly. Bad news! The mop cleaning system had its own issues, whereas the base reservoir would fill up and flood all over the floor along with a verbal error that the brand new unused filter was clogged. Think about that for a second this unit came out of the box mediately was set up on a test paradigm and didn’t work again! And yes, I ran multiple mockups to make sure it was not just an isolated incident. All I got was a floor is soaking wet in my attempts. Now it gets even uglier with this Roborock company. When I try to call customer service on this incident, I find out through my investigation, customer service has blocked my number due to the fact, they don’t want to hear my frustration and they are unwilling to resolve at this juncture and this date remains that way. So if you don’t want to wind up with a very expensive and,in my case, $1500 BRICK, you will heat my advice and stay clear of this so-called fly by night company and invest in one of the many alternative manufacturers that can offer high-quality for the high dollars that these cost, that’s offering you the consumer, the piece of mind that I was initially looking for and never received. I have since reviewed potential legal counsel on this matter, and most likely move forward on this to recover Damages as well as other possible. Let me close by saying,” buyers, beware, buyers beware!’ Hopefully you will be prevented in making the same mistake, believing in this company initially, and finding out otherwise that they are not what they say they are.

2 dogs, cat, 2 kids and a spouse.... and not the neatest house on the block
I've had this toy for a few months and i love it. I tried one a few years back and after it couldn't fit under my cabinet overhangs and had a mental deficiency in logic and effectiveness, it was quickly sent on it's way. In some ways it replaces what house cleaners do... force us to pickup so we can run this guy a couple times a week. Unfortunately it doesn't climb walls so now while we're getting the floor picked up (As well as chairs) regularly for it, the counters remain a bit... cluttered. We have a carpet that is too close to all 4 walls and it does have difficulty with vacuuming with half of itself on a plush wool carpet and the other half on the wood floor but i forgive it. I've also been conditioned to run quickly around the edges with a broom to sweep out any hidden dirt but if i was willing to let it run 3-4 times a week i bet that issue would be taken care of. I am wifi sensitive. I've tried a couple of these wifi connected devices in the past and had to chuck them out as fast as they arrived. this guy sits in the mud room, as far as possible away from our household and i haven't had any reactions yet. This is a keeper. It's too loud to run it while I'm "at work" and i won't run it in the same room as we're hanging out, but those are minor inconveniences I'm willing to work around. I'm a bit confused why i can't specify a room has carpet, I've learned to vacuum and mop the wood floors after i vacuum the rug (so it's not dragging a wet wash pad across the carpet). because it's so far away from the rest of us, sometimes it has network issues (willing to live with it 'cause it aint getting any closer to our living area), and i can envision a few years down the road that the interface will be less clunky but again, none of these are deal breakers. I wouldn't mind a version that climbs that cat and dog and gives them a bit of a paw/snout brush off after a morning outside.

Great in all aspects
Great vacuum/mop. Empties well and sends notification if things are jammed or stuck.

Nice Robot. But do not have water filter. Also battery is small.
Robot is nice. But do not have water filter. I have to buy another one and install it. Also, battery is not big, clean 70% area has already run out of battery and have to come back to recharge.

If you have a German Shepherd (aka Shedder)…
Should be required with the purchase, inheritance or foster “fail” of any GSD! Love it (my dogs tolerate it)! I set it up for an hour before I am home and love coming home to clean floors.

Tec support is horrible don't buy refurb from them
Came to me non-functioning if I could give it zero Stars I would and I would give their technical support a negative five stars if it wasn't it being an Amazon purchase and me being able to send it directly back they would have had me trying to troubleshoot it for weeks and I know this because I started the ticket never closed and was given an email when it was repaired several weeks later. Their technical support on the phone try to tell me I wasn't pushing it hard enough into the base and that it was my fault that I didn't understand how to dock it manually the problem was it didn't have a functioning battery. Oh and mind you I am a 194 lb and 5'9 if I had of pushed it harder whenever he said push it harder I would have destroyed the docking station and I explained to him that I was already putting about half of my body weight into it which makes no sense that he would want me to push it harder considering the vacuum doesn't weigh but about 10 lb he said I couldn't push it hard enough to break it so I was thinking he was wanting me to break it so it will become a warranty problem and not a manufacturer problem. So if you work with or for Asurion you may want to investigate Roborock.

Good vacuum and mop.
Vacuum is powerful. The rubber brushes really do a good job on dog hair. My Golden sheds like crazy and I use the robot almost daily. Easy to clean and maintain.
