I purchased these pens because I've always had great experiences with Uniball products. These pens write great except there were a few instances where it looked like it was starting to fade but I rotated the in my hand and it began to write normally again. For reference, I am studying for a big exam and I've been writing up to 30-40 pages of notes each day. I do feel a little like Goldilocks with this thickness of lines. I like the way the ink wrote with the .7 but the lines were a little thick for me, whereas the .38's were a bit too thin and almost scratching the paper. This .5 is, as they say, just right.
