Works well with Alexa
Early review, as i've only just set this "Philips Air Purifier 600 Series" up today. On first impressions I'm impressed with it. Noise: Three levels. Sleep mode is the quietest. You can barely hear it (just a very low hum). Medium mode is not too loud. probably just switch it on and leave the room and close the door. Turbo mode. This is loud. you won't want to be in the room with this on. It's an ideal setting to get the air quality good quickly. Maybe use this mode when you leave the house. Connectivity: Best to download the app straight away. All the settings are there and it's easy to use. One note, it took me two attempts to connect the app to the device. First time it failed and I had to repeat the set up process. (works fine now). The best feature in my opinion is that you can connect your newly set up Philips (app) account to your Alexa account. As long as you keep your Air purifier unit plugged in, you can control it through your Alexa. I was very impressed by this feature. Design wise, it looks good. modern looking. I will say a few people have noted how big it is. It stands about 34cm tall in height. The width is around 21cm's, so it's not exactly small. It does have a large filter inside and needs to have a large casing. There are smaller models out there if you need a small more discreet unit. Only other negative is that the power button is on the back of the unit. Not a problem if you use the app or Alexa really. Over all its a great product for the price. I'd recommend it. Edit: Five moths later, it's still working a treat. I keep it in bedroom and switch it on (via Alexa) when I wake up. I keep it on turbo mode (highest setting) and just close the bedroom door whilst it running. Very handy during the winter months when you don't want to keep the window open as its cold/raining.

Excellent performance at a great price
Very efficient unit, exceptionally quiet and excellent filtration. This unit also offers network compatibility with the Phillips ecosystem, so you can monitor and control the unit remotely with your phone. At this price, presently £60 on Amazon, it’s a no brainer.

Great Everyday Air Purifier — Quiet, Efficient, and Easy to Use
I’ve had this in my living space for a few weeks now, and here’s my honest, detailed experience to help others decide if it’s right for them: 👉 Real-World Performance 💨 Air feels noticeably fresher: It circulates air well for its size — great for everyday dust, pollen, pet dander and general home pollutants. The NanoProtect HEPA system traps 99.97 % of particles down to 0.003 microns. 🔇 Its quiet but NOT Super-quiet in sleep mode. 📱 App control is a bonus: The Philips Air+ app lets me change speeds and check filter status from my phone without getting up. 👉 What You Should Know 📶 App connectivity can be inconsistent: A couple of times I had to reconnect the device to Wi-Fi. Not a deal-breaker, but worth mentioning. 🌀 Good at particles but not odours: It lacks a strong activated carbon stage, so cooking smells or VOCs might linger longer than with higher-end models. ✅ Bottom line: This Philips air purifier is a solid choice if you want better everyday air quality with minimal noise and fuss. It’s simple to set up, fits well in living spaces, and noticeably reduces airborne particles — just don’t expect advanced air sensors or heavy odour neutralisation in this price range.

Excellent with annoying app
The air purifier itself is great and does exactly what it’s supposed to, however, the app was a nightmare to get working continuously, although looks sorted for now at least and is nice and helpful to see air quality in local area as well as the room and the percentage guidance for filter cleaning and life obviously very handy. Easy to set up just remove bottom and then cover from filter replace filter and bottom of device, just use app to leave speed on auto and adjusts quickly to changes in air quality, longevity of filter will depend on your own atmospheric conditions but also deals with smells very quickly as noticed when cooking.

Easy to set up, schedule works well and works seamlessly with my Google Nest.
Great product, I've definitely noticed less build up of dust in my bedroom since using it. Initial set up is super easy. The app allows you to set a schedule 3 times a day to switch itself on and off. There's 3 settings, night, normal and turbo, all work well. The night setting is virtually silent and doesnt wake me up when it turns on at 6am (my setting). Also works seamlessly with my Google nest. Looks aesthetically very nice in my room. Doesn't emit any smell. I'd say definitely work the price of £90, however doesn't tell you about the air quality in the room, which would be helpful. If that is essential to you, get the upgraded model (I would have but didn't want to pay the extra money, however, now I see how it could've been helpful so would recommend it)

Efficient and effective
I have been monitoring this air purifier for a week and have the following comments. The set up out of the box is straightforward and easy. Connection to WiFi is also easy and the app features are useful and work reliably including the scheduler. I have the purifier in my kitchen diner, which is also home to my parrot. I use the purifier in Auto mode and I note that the fan boosts up to turbo speed when the parrot so much as twitches a wing. I do know that the parrot generates a lot of dust but there must also be copious amounts of microscopic particles and the app confirms this, then the fan boosts to control it. I have also used a fabric glue spray in the same room and the boost fan kicks in within a few seconds. I have also put the purifier in my living room where the air quality is much better (no parrot) and it really does not have to work as much. The air quality sensor appears to be very sensitive and therefore the purifier is very fast to react. So far, so impressive. EDIT: 9 months later. Sometimes there are connectivity issues between my app and the purifier, and I think I have determined the cause. My home wifi is a mesh setup, so my phone switches seamlessly between the main router and an extender sited in the kitchen. The purifier has a wifi connection to the extender, and if my phone is connected to the main router, then the app goes into an endless "connecting" mode. It is frustrating that there is no error message, no prompt to check wifi connection for example. This is surely a simple software fix, so come on Philips.

Good quality, easy to set up, does what it says on the tin
I purchased this air purifier for the bedroom, as this room does sometimes suffer from mould especially during winter months when I do not open the window. I know that these air purifiers are not really meant to be used as a tool for mould control but it does appear to be helping to keep it at bay. The build quality is very good, it was easy to install just downloaded the app and it connected without any problems, the app is informative and functional, keeping you up to date with air quality readings, however it does sometimes disconnect from the app for no apparent reason. I keep it on an automatic setting which means it will adjust fan speed etc automatically depending on the quality of air it senses, so I just let it do its thing. I have had no issues with noise levels, although obviously there is some fan noise when it goes into turbo mode but wouldnt say it is excessive and it never stays in that mode for long. It has never woken me up of prevented me from sleeping. One important point to note is that when you first use this unit, please take out the filter and remove the sealed plastic bag that the filter is in. I neglected to do this, so for a good month it was trying to draw air through the sealed filter and I am lucky it didnt burn itself out or malfunction, however until I realised I thought the unit was defective as obviously it wasnt cleaning the air. As far as functionality it does appear to be doing a good job of prurifying the air as most of the time the reading in the app is showing that the air quality is good. Although I do not have accurate room length and width measurments, the room that it sits in is aprox. 12ft by 10ft. The only reservation I have, hense 4 stars and not 5, is the acuracy of filter change information as I suspect rather than it actually sensing that the filter needs to be cleaned it just seems to be telling me to clean the filter every couple of months, even though on inspection the filter looks perfectly clean. Incidently the filter is very easy to access, just unscrew (by hand) the port at the bottom of the unit and pull the filter out. Over all I'm very pleased with this purchase and it represents good value for money.

Worth It for Peace of Mind
I replaced my old filter with this original Philips one and the difference was noticeable almost straight away. It fit perfectly, was easy to install, and my air purifier felt like it was working properly again. The air smells fresher, and there’s definitely less dust around the house. It’s a bit more expensive than non-brand filters, but knowing it’s genuine and designed for the purifier makes it worth it. Overall, a reliable replacement that does exactly what it’s meant to do.
