Batman: The Court of Owls Saga: DC Compact Comics Edition

Great story and loved the compact size. The only complaint is some text is very close to the binding and you really have to open the book hard to read. I was worried that having to open it this way would mess it up but it stayed strong. At the price these are very hard to beat.

Snyder and Capullo never disappoint.

Great storyline and it's compact so it's easy to take with you.

Capullo really developed his skills over the course of the series, and having the entire story in one book is great, As Capullo's art developed, his layouts and rendering became more complex and detailed, which, when reproduced at this size, makes the pages harder to read, especially where the text is white on black, or the coloring is especially dark (which, in a Batman book, is fairly often). DC should really consider recoloring books for this format in order to enhance the legibility of the material.

11/09/2024 Was expecting it in two days it instead became a next day delivery so that was a plus. Came in good condition with no tearing or bent pages. Book was smaller than other graphic novels I own. But it's only an observation more than a critique. And it's a thick book so you're going to have a lot to enjoy with. Will edit with a review on the book itself in a week as this is first a review of amazons delivery of the product itself. Edit: 1/17/25 I realized that the compact was the reason the comic books are this size. I am glad because it makes it useful for travel and it's at a great price.

Great get for an awesome storyline. You get 300 pages with colour and some extra covers at the end. Would recommend to newcomers and to people who would prefer a more portable edition of the run

Es el segundo Compact Edition que compro y la verdad es que muy contento. El tamaño es correcto y se disfruta un montón. Yo los leo en la cama antes de dormir. Algunos textos se ven algo pequeños pero te acostumbras rápido y en muy poco ni te enteras. El papel es tipo hoja gruesa de libro, sin brillo, pero las impresiones son buenas y se aprecian todos los detalles en los grafismos. Obviamente las versiones mas grandes se disfrutan más, pero por el precio que tienen estos Compacts comparados con las otras versiones, merecen la pena del todo y son perfectos para leer en la cama o llevarlos de viaje.

The best batman story I've ever read. Its got a big mystery that unravels over time. With lots of young Bruce Wayne and borderline horror moments. Can't recommend enough
