Great Security Camera
This Philips Hue Secure Camera works great. The picture quality is clear, not grainy. The night vision is sharp as well, letting me see the picture clearly. The motion detector works well in alerting me through my phone if I should be aware of anything going on near my home. Bi like how strong the camera connection is with barely any wait time to stream the video. Another amazing feature is its end to end encryption that gives me peace of mind for privacy of my home. The design is a nice neutral white color that would easily blend in wherever it is placed. The size is just right, not bulky at all.

Smart, reliable and easy to setup
I installed the Philips Hue Secure Wired Camera in my front yard, and setup was quick—under 10 minutes. Since I already had the Hue app for my lights, the camera connected instantly. The video quality is excellent, even at night, and motion detection has been spot on with no false alerts. I like being able to set motion zones to monitor just key areas like the walkway. It looks sleek outdoors and blends in well. The only downside is the subscription—without it, you miss out on human-only alerts. Still, it’s a reliable and solid camera that I’ve already recommended to friends.

Excellent Camera for Hue Homes
I already have hue ecosystem setup in my house and I was happy with how easy it was to integrate camera with all of my existing hue devices. Right from taking out of the box, it seemed designed in similar way that other hue products are. Getting setup and the magnetic attachment to the stand felt great and strong. Overall nice inconspicuous design. The Camera's picture quality was definitely one of it's greatest perks in my mind. The day quality was fantastic and the night time viewing was not bad either. Overall I think easy to see and track what's going on outside. I also really liked the intelligent detection of the camera. I think how it detected people vs cars or packages is really cool. I haven't heavily used the alert system, but seems to be working well so far, especially for someone needing to be constantly on top of what's going outside their house. Overall I like it, but think it's great for people with existing hue homes. Not too sure if this should be the first hue item you purchase though.

Easy to install
I’ve been using the Philips Hue Secure Wired Camera for a few weeks now, and it’s been awesome. Setup was quick and super easy—it connected right away to my existing Hue lights, which was a huge plus. I really like having everything in one app. The video quality is super clear, even at night. Motion detection works really well and doesn’t go off for every little thing, which I appreciate. I also love the two-way audio feature—it’s great for talking to someone at the door or just checking in when I’m not home. Overall, it gives me peace of mind, and it looks sleek too. Definitely recommend if you’re already in the Hue ecosystem or just want a reliable wired security cam.

Good camera, but
The Philips Hue wired security camera makes adding security to your home an easy and almost seamless process. It comes with nearly everything that you need, the charger, camera, screw, magnetic holder to eventually up your camera if you don't want to screw it on your wall, and a card that has a qr code which makes setting up the product easier. One thing to note: it doesn't come with a hub. If you don't already own a compatible Philips Hue device, you'll need to purchase one separately to use the camera. I set up the camera using the Samsung SmartThings app in combination with Google Home, and the process was quick and straightforward. The connection has been pretty solid and responsive, though to be fair, I'm on a fiber network, so speeds and stability may vary for other users depending on their home internet setup. So far, the camera has performed well. The video feed is relatively clear, with good visibility and audio pickup. The images are clear and not too fuzzy at night, similar to most cameras with night vision. I appreciate the encrypted footage, it gives me an extra piece of mind knowing my data is protected. While the camera feels sturdy, I'm not entirely confident about its durability outdoors; the outer coating might be prone to weather damage or rust over time. Although I am happy with the camera's performance, I have a few issues. One, it's wired, and not wireless. The placement of my outlets, both inside and outside my house, makes it difficult to set up the camera in the way I need to. And two, maybe I'm doing it wrong, but the magnetic holder for the camera, while strong now, seems like it would eventually lose grip on the camera and cause it to fall off. I need to find an alternative method to place it on my walls without scrwing anything in. I've kept the camera indoors until I can find a suitable outdoor setup. After setting up this camera, I breathed a sigh of relief. My house is on a main street, and right behind it is an alleyway that, for some reason, gets much human traffic. I worry sometimes because that's where my neighbors and I keep our cars. That being said, the camera's presence has significantly enhanced my sense of security. I'm no longer as jumpy now that I have it, and feel secure and safe knowing that I have something watching my back, day and night. In conclusion, the Philips Hue Secure Wired Camera is dependable, and I recommend it.

Solid Camera, but Lacks HomeKit and Free Recording
The Phillips Hue Secure Wired Security Camera is a reliable, well built, and sleekly designed product, but it comes with several surprising shortcomings, especially for a device in the Hue ecosystem. As expected, setup was straightforward via the Phillips Hue app and took only a few minutes. The app integration is excellent. With over 50 other Hue products in my home, this camera has unlocked several exiting new features, including the ability to arm and disarm my home for security monitoring. It can trigger my Hue lights based on motion, and my existing motion sensor can now trigger alarms when I'm away. These integrations are genuinely useful and showcase the benefits of staying within the Hue ecosystem. The video quality is acceptable at 1080p, with strong night vision performance. Audio is clear, and the built in speaker allows for effective two way communication. However, while the camera itself is high quality, there are several notable limitations. Most surprising is the lack of Apple HomeKit compatibility, meaning for myself, the camera feed can only be viewed through the Hue app. Also, without a paid subscription, the camera offers no video recording capabilities. It can only be used for live viewing, which is quite disappointing. Overall, if you're heavily invested in Phillips Hue, this camera can be a valuable addition to your smart home. But if you're a committed Apple HomeKit user or prefer a camera with no required subscription, you may want to look elsewhere.

Peaceful home, smart security
I’ve been using the Philips Hue Secure Wired Smart Home Security Camera (White) on my balcony, and it’s become one of my favorite smart home additions. I specifically installed it to monitor my car, which is visible from the balcony, and to keep an eye on anyone approaching the apartment from that side — and it works perfectly for both. The setup was quick and smooth. I already use Philips Hue lights, so integrating the camera into my existing system through the Hue app was seamless. I love that I can control and monitor everything in one place. The video quality is excellent — crystal clear during the day and surprisingly sharp at night thanks to the powerful night vision. One of the best features is the motion detection. It sends accurate alerts without being overly sensitive, so I’m only notified when something actually matters. I also appreciate the two-way audio — it’s great for communicating if someone’s at the door or just checking in when I’m away. Security and privacy were important for me, and this camera delivers with end-to-end encryption. I feel confident knowing my footage is protected and not accessible to anyone else. Design-wise, the camera looks modern and clean. It doesn’t stand out too much and fits well with my balcony setup. It’s wired, which means I don’t have to worry about recharging it, and the connection is super stable. If you’re already in the Hue ecosystem or looking to start building a smart home with reliable, stylish, and secure tech, I definitely recommend this camera. It gives me peace of mind every day.
