Sturdy, Heavy Duty, Feature Rich
The KINGRACK 5 Step Ladder is very well made of heavy duty steel materials. Although not extremely heavy, this is no lightweight ladder, either. Assembly was quick and easy (attach tool tray and side rails) with supplied hardware. Everything needed, including a wrench, was provided. It took about ten minutes to unpack and assemble. A huge plus for this ladder is the wide (14+”), deep (7.8”) steps. These make climbing (up and down) easier, safer and more comfortable than typical thin slat type rungs. Each step has a non-skid rubberized covering for comfort and safety. The top step is extra deep (11.3”), which makes this a comfortable platform to work from. Another plus are the side rails that make climbing easier and safer. These rails have a nice foam padding that aid in a secure (and comfortable) grip while going up or down. The top rail (above the tool tray) is also padded and adds a gripping point when at the top of the ladder. When fully opened, the top step has a locking mechanism (the yellow tab – see photo) that secures the step in place and prevents the ladder from closing. Lifting the tab allows for quick and easy folding of the ladder once the job is complete. The tool tray has handy places for storing tools, holding paint cans or other items (nails, fasteners, clips, etc.) We have 8 foot ceilings in our home and this ladder now allows us to easily reach the top of cabinets, hang paintings high on the walls, change furnace filters in the ceiling air returns, etc. From a storage standpoint, the side rails do limit the storage options, as the rails extend about 6” from the folded frame, which is only about 3” thick when folded. This means you need a minimum of 9” total space if you want to slide this in between items, behind a door, etc. 5 STARS AND I DO RECOMMEND THIS ITEM I write honest reviews based on real life experience with each item to help others make informed purchases. I read reviews too, and appreciate how helpful they can be. I hope that you find this review helpful!

Great Ladder!
More like 4.5 stars. Just a little heavier than I thought it would feel. Also the cushions on the hand rail would be nice except they slide up and down on the rail. Considered that to be less safe for stability so I took it off. Also, decide that one hand rail was sufficient as you also have the upper cross rail for stability. Have nothing else but great things to say about this ladder. Quite stable, I’m 190 lbs. Fairly easy to fold and unfold. So highly recommend. Tallest standing height is 40 inches (5 step) which is something I wanted to know in advance. Can use it for anything I don’t need my little giant for, which is heavy to bring out except for the tallest tasks.

A very stable, ready to set u12p step ladder.
As my wife and have recently entered our 70s, I wanted to get a ladder for the many projects we have around our house and cottage that was stable, had a wider step tread and handles. This ladder fills the bill almost perfectly. We got the one with 6 steps and it's stable on each step. The foldable tool shelf is very handy and it has places for holding paint cans, brushes and drill drivers pretty securely. I've used it indoors and outdoors and it works like a champ. The handles on the sides are solid, once we attached them, and they offer a good level of confidence, I think. It folds up well and stores neatly in the corner of my garage. I can highly recommend this ladder. It was delivered quickly, the assembly instructions were pretty clear and I didn't think the price was outrageous compared to comparable ladders. It took about 10 or 15 minutes to assemble it out of the box. Most of it is pre-assembled. I'll try to remember to come back with a couple photos --

ALL MOST FLAWLESS!
On the plus side. It is tall enough for what I want it to do, such as changing the spot lights under the eaves of my garage door. Better than taking out a clumsy ladder from the basement walking around the front and then walking back again. Ladders actually give you nothing to hold on to as you climb. This product is very stable and the side bars are a great as they give you something to hold on to while you climb. It gives you a feeliing like hey, I am not going to fall. The negative side. Yes, as others have commented, it is heavy, but that is the trade off when you want a safe and strong product. I would venture to guess a woman would not be able to pick it up without help, unless of course she wass built like 'TWO TON TONY GALENTO'. [LOL]. For those that don't know Tony was a heavy weight boxer back in the late 30's As for men, here also I would venture to guess that a man over 75 might need a little help unless you lift weights at the gym 5 days a week. [LOL] Other than that most men shouldn't have a problem. I am 75 and I was able to move it, but it was a tad difficult. However, I managed.

Stability and extra height
This ladder has been updated - new caps on for legs. It is now by far my FAVORITE ladder of all times! I do not weigh even close to 300 pounds so can’t attest to weight bearing load but the stability of the ladder, height, top shelf organizer and extra step width make it is a must have for safety. I can now easily decorate my 8 foot Christmas tree without worrying about falling off the ladder!! The top shelf for tools etc is very handy as is the extra high bar at the top of the ladder. At this time I don’t need the extra bars on the sides for climbing up the ladder but know they may come in handy as I age and need more assistance climbing.

Strong, light and sturdy
This is hands down the best step ladder I’ve ever seen and owned. It arrived pretty much assembled, except for the hand rails and adding a screw or two for the tray holder. It is very sturdy and very easy to unfold. I like the rubber caps on the feet so you don’t slip while using it. The yellow handle is very easy to use to unlock the ladder and fold it. The only thing I think needs to be added, is a light colored tape or something to the steps. Since I got the 5 step version and when coming back down, the black steps tend to blend together. I added some tape to add some contrast on the steps.

I bought the 5-Step version which are great for reaching every conceivable household task. They are steady and robust with wide steps providing a great sense of security. The minimal assembly was straight-forward. I like the tool-tray at the top which makes life much easier and saves lots of ups-and-downs. One drawback is that they are quite heavy, so I would advise those that find difficulty moving things about to opt for a lighter set; If you still want the advantages these offer, perhaps opt for the 4- or 3-Step versions which would be lighter and more easily manoeuvred. Overall, I couldn’t be happier!

Pesa mucho con lo que hay que mover la plegada dando pequeños pasos pero es muy estable y segura.

Super sturdy and easy to assemble. Pretty heavy to move for smaller people, but the weight adds to the stability. Very wide and deep steps, which feel safer than other ladders.

Excellent 5-step ladders with handrails and tool tray. Very sturdy and safe feeling. Delighted with purchase. They are quite heavy, but that's a good thing for safety. The handrails are fixed so don't fold away. We keep ours in the garage, so no problem, more difficult to store in small house without much cupboard space.
