Super juicer
I have owned this juicer for just over a year now and still use it every single day for vegetables and fruit. I chose this juicer because I have owned other juicers in the past (Jack La lanne being one of them) which were ok but not great and packed up shortly after the warranty's ran out, so this time I did my research! I realised that for the best quality juice I needed a masticating juicer. This one offers a 10 year guarantee on the motor and is easy to replace small parts if necessary. I love it! Of course it's a pain to have to clean juicers afterwards but this one really is no bother compared to the others I have used. The trick is to give the parts a good rinse straight after juicing. The fine mesh/grater bit is what takes the longest but even that is only a minute or two maximum. I find that if I finish the juicing with a piece of fruit or veg with a bit of texture like a carrot then this pushes other pieces through more easily that might otherwise get stuck in the mesh when it comes to cleaning. It is nowhere near as messy to clean either. If I really don't have time to clean it I just fill a bowl with water and the leave the parts to soak until I have time, this stops the 'mush' from drying and being difficult to dislodge. The other juicers I have used always left a fairly moist pulp indicating that a fair bit of juice was still in it, the Matstone however, produces a much drier pulp, so, clearly more juice for your money. Also it easily juices leafy greens such as spinach, parsley, broccoli etc. that my other juicers just couldn't cope with. Although slightly more expensive than some others it really is a good quality robust juicer that is well worth the money. Certainly a good investment if you are serious about juicing. I have never needed to use the other attachments for it so can't comment on their ability to perform. It is quite heavy for me (a feeble weakling with arthritic hands) so I leave it permanently out which is fine because it looks great. It came with a very useful owners manual giving you recipes and clear guidelines as to how to get the best from each attachment. It also came with a great little recipe book 'The Juiceman's Power of Juicing' which gives over 100 recipes for a variety of ailments plus loads of useful info. It is very easy to set up and work and pretty quiet compared to my other juicers. I have no complaints, I am a very happy customer.

Great Juicer for the price.
I owned this Juicer for almost two years and used it daily to make an apple, carrot, ginger, lime, spinach, beetroot, celery and cucumber juice. It really has changed my life. My health has improved enormously - I haven't had a cold since I first started (I used to suffer regular colds every 4 - 6 weeks). My hair and skin look much better and I just feel much better generally. I have owned several juicers and have friends with juicers and I can say without any doubt that the juice from this machine is of an *extremely* high quality. However, prep and feeding is a very slow business because the parts are flimsy. Everything needs to be chopped up quite small (French fry - potato wedges sized depending on how hard the veg is) - anything too large causes the juicer to struggle and feels like it might break something. The first juicing screen snapped after 6 months daily use, then the next one again after another eight months or so. Each time I ordered new screens (for free) with no problems. Also the auger had worn right down after about 18 months, it was then that I decided on a new (better) juicer. The pulp is nice and dry except for some soft fruits, spinach, beet and cucumber so I fed through the damp pulp for a second time. Washing up takes 3 - 4 minutes. The Matstone is a great 'first machine' IMO. Top quality juice from a machine that costs less than £200. If you really know you're serious about juicing and you can afford it you should look at the Angel juicer.. although it's several times the price it really is a far more solid machine and much quicker/easier to use. Check the delivery before you buy. My delivery days were vague. Eventually they delivered, unfortunately during the week when we were both at work and they do not re-deliver. I had to drive to their depot 50 miles away to collect it.

"King of the kitchen Gadgets"
The title says it all...the Matstone juicer is a Great piece of kitchen equipment...it's very study...looks great on the kitchen work top and very functional...a Juicer Plus...mince with it...grind coffee beans with it...make pasta with it...and more...!!! As regards to design, so far, I can only find one tiny, tiny fault, one could say, it's hardly worth a mention, but I'm going to give it a mention just in case the design guys are reading this...and the more info you have before you buy, the better ...because at close to £180, its not cheap...the aperture for the juice, is slightly too close to the outlet for the pulp....when placing the two plastic containers underneath the drum to catch both of the above, there is little room for error, so you need to make sure both containers are lined up correctly... I have read other reviews on here, that say the "drum guide" is too small...personally, I don't find this an issue...any way, there is a reason for it not being Big...the bigger the drum guide, the bigger pieces of friut / veg will be pushed down into it...not good for the motor or any other rotating parts...be kind to your new kitchen gadget...smaller pieces of veg mean longer life of machine.... to sum up, I would say... Very easy to use...very easy to clean...very easy to re-connect / put together after washing one of the best kitchen gadgets I have bought so far...very pleased with it and would not want to be without it... it comes highly recommend...if your are thinking of buying a Juicer...buy this one...you will Not be disappointed...!

Great for mincing, juicing not as good as expected
I own a juicer slightly over one year. My main objection is that the part of plastic adjacent to the rotating metal part of the auger worn out very soon and the auger is a bit wobbly because of that. Nevertheless, it does not seem to significantly influence the functionality of the machine. Generally - the machine is really fast and easy to assemble and disassemble. I would appreciate wider space for inserting ingredients. I am happy with the mincing function - it is the best way how to make hummus and bean spreads I know, it makes very good carrot based salads, mincing soaked nuts and dried fruit and mincing frozen fruits also works very well. The mincing cone cracked after a few months of usage and was replaced for free by the seller without problems. I am not that excited about the juicing function - the juicing screen gets cluttered, when making larger amount of juice I have to clean it in the middle of juicing. Also - it is quite difficult to clean it properly afterwards. I should mention that I mostly juice carrot and other hard vegetables, fruit seem to cause less problems. The recipe book that comes with the juicer is of rather poor quality. The instructions often miss important details.

My first juicer, I am very happy!
I am new to juicing, but took the plunge with this juicer. It's well-made, easy to assemble and easy to operate. It is slow, which makes it quiet, but it does take a while to get a large glass of juice. However, the machine is very thorough and gets a lot of juice from the fruits & veg you put in. This product is good value for money, with the ten year guarantee, this product is really only costing £16 a year! A great investment for your health. I received my juicer a few days after ordering (sooner than expected) and it came with some helpful juicing books to get me started which was a nice touch.

The Juice Master Uncooperative. Not worth £170.
I bought this product as my father was having chemotherapy and read up that masticating Juicers retained nutrients when Juicing. When I received the product I found the Juicer was horrible at Juicing and a lot of juice was left over in the fruit and vegetables skins. I'm not sure if this is a faulty device or if the juicer just happens to function poorly. I mentioned this to the "The Juice Master" (Seller) and requested a this is the reply I got "I'm afraid we wouldnt be able to accept this back as the product is no longer in re-sellable condition" The Juicer has been in its box since, I wasted £170. Appalling customer service from "the Juice master". There are better juicers out there.

Amazing
I did a lot of research into which juicer to buy. I finally went for this one as I found the price not to be absurd. The product is quality and does everything I have ever needed it to. It juices all fruits and vegetables I have tried. Some vegetables sound squaeky going through but this is the only "negative" that I can think of. I have done everything from blueberries to cabbage. I have also used this to grind nuts into nut flour. The secret is to not overload the machine but just slowly put in 5 or 6 at a time. They come out perfectly and I have used them to bake with and make butters. It is easy enough to clean as stated by pretty much everyone else... Can't think of anything else I need to say about this... I have mushed avocados with this too... Top buy!

Good tool
Yes, this is a good tool. I suspect juicing is generally a fad phenomenon that millions would like to believe will change their lifestyle but only a few stay with the discipline. This, however, is a good looking and very functional kitchen tool. It is quiet and hugely efficient in operation and surprisingly easy to clean. The juicing auger, filter and cutting novels come apart and re-attach easily. I stayed with the process for several weeks, but fell out of the habit in the winter. I fully intend to get back into the juicing habit in the summer - cold, fruity FRESH drinks are ace on a hot day. For serious juicers this is the one. For fad juicers (Like me) this is a good looking addition to the kitchen, I leave it out on display as it's classical, if quirky appearance impresses guests and neighbours. It's really well made and should last for years. - A good purchase on all fronts!!
