An improvement over there previous small clear cases. This one has an effective heat sink with solid contact with the SSD. In use, watching a two hour movie file, it gets a little warm bit does not get hot at all. Very good. A definite recommendation on this one.

great product and works as expected

This enclosure works perfectly with great transfer speeds. Drive install is simple. Stop here if you don't care about minor details. Now on to more superficial subjects... "Tool free" is a bit generous considering that the "tool free" mechanism is a little rubber plug that goes into the screw hole as opposed to a screw. Technically it's true but it's not the most elegant solution. The novelty of the clear housing is ruined by the fact that the included thermal pad you use to adhere the included heatsink overhangs so you see it poking out of the sides (okay, now that I'm thinking about it I suppose you could cut the thermal pad to fit underneath). Lastly, as other reviewers have mentioned, the light is brighter than the eye of Sauron.

This thing is sleek and goes as fast as anybody would want! I paired it with a Samsung 990 Pro and haven't had thermal issues yet, but they include a heat sink just in case. This thing looks so nice and the build quality is great for the price I paid. The SSD is a tight fit, but it is snug and secure. The plastic has a nice feel, and the way the housing clicks together makes it very easy to swap out drives.

Bought this for steam deck full data transfer. Cloned and transferred 256gb to 2tb less than an hour. Stayed pretty cool as well.

This worked with no issues. I used it with EaseUs Disk Copy which costed $20 to extend the size of the SSD both on mine and my wife's laptop with bigger ones from older laptops. It took less than an hour for 512GB which compared to another enclosure I've tried was pretty good. Had zero issues using the extra SSD 256gb M.2s as a backup hard disk after that too. Only thing is it gets very hot but they provide a sticker and heat sink which you can easily remove and swap ssds when needed multiple times.

The enclosure was easy to open, and the ssd was simple to insert and use. I love that it's transparent so I can see the size of the SSD without having to open it unlike all of the other SSD enclosures that I have that are metallic. I comes with a strip of thermal tape and a heatsink if you need it. I used the enclosure to duplicate a smaller laptop SSD so I could subsequently switch it out and it worked great for that purpose. Good value.

This product is of good quality and function well with the compatible drives. The read and write speeds are impressive and the transparent design is very stylish. I like it.

it works on windows Linux & Android (format with FAT32 for android) the installation of the drive is a breeze, the quality of the parts is good it is great value for the price for now I have not notice and problem with heat
