Read the description carefully...This set does not come with the extension cord...but I was able to pick one up at Home Depot, fit exactly and works great. Very easy to install and light is perfect for our room.

I recently bought these track lights to replace some older mismatched ones I had in my kitchen and living room. The lights were a breeze to install and the selectable light shades are amazing. Well worth the investment versus less expensive and less featured light kits. A+++++

I ordered this set to replace vanity light track lights in two bathrooms. In the end, they look decent and offer brighter light than we had before without dated lights. However, we did run into some big challenges getting these into a remodel situation. - We had to order an additional floating canopy connector because we were replacing something that required a non-end point wiring in. (see photos) - Neither this set nor the floating canopy connector set provided a NON live wire end cap to replace the live end cap with a floating canopy set up. Also the manufacturer shows these as an add on option to buy but does not offer a way to buy them. So we had to install this with the long, live wire end cap in place, which isn't necessary, takes up space and isn't ideal. (see photos) -The floating canopy cover white isn't the same color white as the rail and lamps, so its a bit mismatched in the end. (see photos) - The floating canopy cover is big, but it isn't big enough to cover a round in-wall wiring box. So the edges of that show in our installation. Gonna have to paint that black box now. (see photo) - The drywall mount screws were junk. Had to replace those. Once we wrestled this into place, the lighting is bright. We toggled through the switch options mounted on the back of each lamp. The brightest option was for us. The dark brown is kind of weird, but maybe someone needs it. Not sure I'd choose this again for this kind of remodel installation. Might be okay for a new situation where the floating cover isn't needed. I've had these installed in our small kitchen for more than 6 months now and they really made a difference over the old fixture. They are more spots than floods, which is good because I aimed them at the sink, the stove and counter areas and get excellent task lighting. Since they are in the kitchen, they do get a little dirty. They are easy to clean on the track, and if they need it they're easy to take off for a more thorough degreasing (no soaking, please).

For someone who is handy, this is a fairly straight forward do it yourself project. Uncomfortable working with electricity? Find an electrician, either way install the lights themselves and setting the color temperature is easy. Added a dimmer on our setup which made it nicer.

Replaced old set of track lights over stove in kitchen and separate lights on beam over stairs. Easy to install and the areas lighting improved 100%.
