We upgraded to the Diaper Genie Platinum after struggling with an older secondhand version, and the difference is night and day. This one is sleek, easy to use, and just works. The foot pedal is smooth, refills are simple, and it holds a surprising number of diapers—we only change the bag once or twice a week. The blue color is also a nice touch—it actually looks good in the nursery. I’m pretty minimalist when it comes to baby gear, but this one earns its spot. Total game-changer.

This Diaper Genie pail works very well at keeping diaper odors contained, even when it is full. The stainless steel body feels sturdy and looks much nicer than plastic diaper pails, so it blends well with nursery décor instead of standing out. I had a non diaper genie diaper bin and it was ok but the bags were a bit of a pain to handle. Paying a premium for bags to hold diapers isnt the best but the unit itself is brilliantly designed. Setting up a bag, taking out a full bag and prepping a new one is a well thought out process that if you do it right is a pleasant experience. There is ZERO odor that comes out of this thing even when its full of the most poop ridden diapers you could imagine. Great product. Just do us all a favour and make the refills cheaper
