I would love to give these colored pencils 5 stars but they have some issues. Keep in mind that I am comparing these pencils to some really high end brands. Faber-Castell pollychromos, Caran d’Ache luminance, Holbein Artist and Derwent chromaflow colored pencils. So perhaps not a fair comparison. They are better than crayol and far better than Rosa. First the pencil cores like to break for no reason this is made more problematic since they are not available as open stock. Second the pigments are not the strongest but they are not too bad. Third they are not the best at layering. The core formula needs improvement. Fourth there are a couple colors that don’t lay down at all. Fifth there is no pigment information so there is not way to know if they are lightfast. So I assume they are not. Now on to what I like about these. First they are so much fun to smell. Even if they don’t quite smell like what their name implies. Second well maybe this should have been first. The names! These pencils have the most creative color names I have ever experienced. I just have to giggle at them. They are so joyful. For example: “napping among fragrant bergamot trees” a beautiful pale green and it smells great. Or “zesty marmalade straight from the jar” and I really smells like sweet oranges. I guess overall they make me happy and mad at the same time but I will still use them.for coloring books but not for real art.

these were nice, but they didn't stay scented as long as I thought they would. I still like to use them. they're a little bit soft colored when you're using them for the adult coloring books.

Everything about these colored pencils is enchanting, the design, scents, *the names of the colors*. Sigh. These scratch my itch for charming, lovely, little things to elevate the day-today, and they take coloring as relaxation to a new level of self-care. The quality of the pencils themselves in terms of drawing/coloring is great as well; they blend easily and the colors are clear/unmuted (they are not as rich/smooth as true artist quality pencils but perform above standard Crayola, similar to Prismacolor). I had to get a couple more as gifts and both recipients were absolutely delighted.
