Delicious, good buy
Better than I expected . I read one of the reviews that said to bake then fry, so that’s what I did. I cut the slices in half then place on baking tray. Baked at 200 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes (just until they dry up. Then I fry in oil until brown each side . Whole family loves it . Delicious! Btw you don’t need to add any salt as it comes in salted water

Potato alternative
Should be called potato fruit rather than bread fruit. It is an ideal swap. I am unsure if these have already been boiled before packaged but they are already soft in the tin. The recipe I was trying to make (Breadfruit pizza base) didn't work, but I wonder if this is due to following the instructions for fresh Breadfruit which we can't get here in the UK. I boiled them for 5-10 mins, then as they were getting mushy drained and Mashed them. They make a very yummy slighty sticky but otherwise close to mash potato treat. I then spread on a non stick baking mat and baked on medium high. After 10-15 mins i put pizza sauce and mushrooms on top and baked for another 20-25 mins turning the heat up a bit. The result was much like the Mashed potato on top of baked shepherd's or cottage pie. Crispy on the edges but soft and creamy inside. Whilst not the dish I wanted it was absolutely delicious and an ideal potato substitute. I will have another go at the pizza based mashing direct from can without boiling but I expect the issue is that it is canned rather than fresh. Mashing direct from can also didn't work as base but have used multiple times to make vegan cottage style and vegetable pies Works a treat as potato topping goes nice and crispy on top in the oven but creamy inside.

Makes great breadfruit chips in an air fryer!
For canned breadfruit it’s really good! I think the breadfruit is boiled prior to packaging- either that or it has soaked up all the water in the tin and has a soft consistency. I use it in my air fry to make breadfruit chips and I find them to be a healthy treat! Will purchase again!

Came in tact but just not to my taste

Yummy
Yummy. Good substitute for roast breadfruit when it's hard to buy fresh. Would recommend steaming to help prevent it from breaking when reheating. Enjoy.

Excellent quality, easy to cook, tastes great
I love these because I can't get to the market often. The breadfruit is easy to cook on the stove top or in the oven and tastes good and authentic with gravy, and other foods. I buy through Subscribe and Save to get the best price and to make sure I always have several in stock. I will definitely continue to purchase.

Next best thing
I grew up eating breadfruit in Antigua, but being in London, it's not cheap or easy to get, so this is the next best thing at a decent price. When my mom fries them, you can't tell they're from a tin.. but they are soft and can get mushy, so handle with care.
