I had an Airbag Fault that left a Service Airbag System message on the Dash as well as the Airbag light staying lite. I tried to use my old OTC scanner but did not have the Airbag Module. That module would cost me $600 alone. I tried to fix all of the most common issues that cause an airbag system failure. This wasted almost 8 hours of my time. I researched new scan tools and decided on the Autel MaxiCheck MX900. For under $700 dollars, I had a modern, touch screen scan tool that worked on all modules (ECT, Transmission, Airbags, ABS, Body Control Module, Stabilatrak, on and on). My Autel Scan Tool arrived promptly. I plugged it into my 2008 Tahoe and it immediately gave me the error code (the passenger side pretensioner seatbelt had high resistance). I replaced this part and the error codes were gone… This scan tool was a third of what I paid for my OTC scan tool 18 years ago and has much more functionality. The first year unlimited license is included in the purchase price. It’s a $169 a month per year after that. In my opinion, this is a great scan tool at a very good price that gets the job done. If you need a scan tool, I highly recommend this one!

This is really a excellent all systems diagnostic scanner, very easy to use. I used it to diagnosed TCM on 2010 Chrysler RAM, no big problem. other service functions also can be found such as bi-directional active tests, throttle adaptation, brake bleed, oil reset, service light reset, engine, transmission, abs, airbag and more. it is a lot to get familiar with. so far so good
