Sweet unit
It's small, quiet, and powerful fan. Bought for my off grid cabin to help spread the heat from my stove. Variable light intensity and fan speed make it great for reducing power consumption while still being effective. It works great but isn't what I would call "durable" so being careful during installation is a must.

Perfect size for a small room
We own a house that was custom built in the 90's so it has some quirky things...like an 7' x 12' darkroom with counters on both sides plus some bigger cabinets near the door. Needless to say, there's not much room but spanning the cabinets against the back wall is a desk height counter that I've made my computer desk and I spend a lot of time here.As you can imagine, it's too small for a 52 inch fan or even a 42 inch one so I was excited when I saw this and snatched it right up.Installation was easy, for me anyway, but I've done a lot of diy remodeling so I didn't even open the instructions. Took all of 15 minutes mainly because I have switch controlled outlets in the ceiling (remember it was a darkroom) so I removed the center outlet, installed the bracket, wired it up and then mounted the fan. Hey Presto...and a nice breeze ensued right over my desk.It moves an impressive amount of air for its size, however I don't think this would work for anything larger than my room. Speed 1 is just a nice quiet breeze and you barely know it's running. Speed 6 sounds like one of those pedestal fans on high. The lights are very bright and there's 3 different color options....a pukey looking orangish yellow (warm white?), a bright white and then a mix of both that is closer to warm white. Obviously I keep it on bright white. It also has a good range of dimming at your fingertips with the awesome remote that lets you control all functions easily and even includes a timer function to turn the unit off after either 2 or 4 hours.I love this little ceiling fan so far and I think it's a great deal for a smaller room that needs a little air movement.
