It’s helped him get better at chess && it’s a perfect build/size, the magnetic pieces are helpful to not loose the pieces, it’s been fun to play and the different options on opponents is great! This chess board is a lot of fun for chess fans.I've enjoyed playing chess since I was a youngster, and am actually used to playing against computer opponents. I can't say I'm a particularly good player, since you can't know the 'why' of the conflict or who the personalities fighting really are, except as a monolithic opposing player which then turns the whole affair into a one-dimensional struggle. Sorry, I digress! Just give me a REAL geo-political conflict to figure out any day to truly keep me engaged...But there is value in sharpening your skills of observation and predictive maneuvering, even if in a one-dimensional way. This electronic chessboard does a good job at that.It's easy to setup and use, and I like that you get that hands-on feel of real chess pieces. And being old school (or maybe it's just 'old'), the digital readout of moves and the simplistic coordinate system isn't a problem, I don't miss the mouse at all. You could even replace the chess pieces that come with the board with your own of a similar size (another good reason to fire up the 3D printer!).I've only really touched the surface of what it can do so far, but I found it both fun and relaxing to be able to play real chess pieces on a real chess board. Computer still kicks my butt, most of the time that is...

It is hard to find a chess club for my son. Bought this AI chess for my son. The AI chess is well made with high quality. We both like play with AI, just like play with a very good human player. The tutor function is great. AI response is quick, my son doesn't have to complain my slow response anymore. My son and I still can use it to play face to face. Easy to be carried, we will bring the AI chess to our camping trip.

I am completely a rookie to the game, but this chess set looks pretty good to me. It has a full set of manual teaching how to setup the teaching system and the AI opponent. Now I am using this set to play with my friend, and I will try playing against the AI in free time. This chess set looks suitable for any rookies like me because of the teaching system, or anyone who wanna have fun alone playing with the AI.
