We all know the dry bags that we put our phones in when we go around water. Put it in, fold over the top and clip it closed. No water is getting in. BUT, you also aren’t going to be able to really press the screen. It might work, it might not. It might randomly get pressed without you touching it. But it stays dry…yay!This thing steps in and tells that floating, dry phone bag to hold its beer. You slide your phone into this thing and then clip it closed with some FORCE. You have got to hold it down nice and firm for it to close, which is because of its CRAZY good gaskets it has around the opening. Water tries to get in, and the gaskets are like…you better H2GOAWAY! No leaks allowed! There’s a private party inside and you arent invited!!!It connects through Bluetooth to your phone so that the camera buttons will work like they should and actually take pictures. I don’t know if it was just my unit, but mine did not recognize my presses on the screen area, but I dont know that that is really a big deal or flaw either. You get this thing because you want to take pictures underwater. So you are going to be keeping your camera app open the whole time, not trying to get your wordle on while snorkeling.Takes some pretty good pictures too. There isn’t any distortion in the camera lenses, no moisture gets in, not fog building up. Really great.My only critique, and it’s the only one seriously. Could I have gotten something other than a muted purple? Red? Orange? Blue? Black? Silver? Gray? Hell, I would even take a green. But purple was the only thing available when I got it.Overall, get this. If you visit the lake, go to the pool with the kids, or go to the beach and you wanna document but stay dry, this is your thing. Oh also, before I finish, the thing will keep your phone protected pretty well if you drop it too. But don’t let your kids have it…you’re just asking for a drop. My heart can’t handle another one of those.

This is my second Shellbox case. I returned the first after the screws were stripped on the Bluetooth remote. The replacement had the ability to remove the screws however the Bluetooth remote does not work properly. Camera button will take a picture but only if the camera app is open. Zoom, reverse camera, video buttons do not work with my phone (iPhone 13 ProMax). Returning again :(

When I press the photo button, it opens email. Once I open camera, it will take pictures. But that is all. It won't change from front/back camera. The zoom in and out just takes several pictures and the video doesn't do anything. Expensive junk. Wish I would have tried it sooner as too late to return. DO NOT BUY!

The pros: The case itself is very sturdy and the lid is secured in the closed position with a screw to maintain a water tight seal. The limitation of depth guarantee of 15 meters is likely due to the plastic viewing windows. They could easily be damaged by impact in a suitcase, for example, or other type of accidental damage. The bluetooth synched seamlessly with my Galaxy s10. The plurality of suction cups provided on the phone mount are surprisingly effective in holding the phone in place and the viewing window in the phone mount is large enough that one does not have to worry about centering the phone. Additionally, a very robust paracord wrist strap is provided that will easily withstand the rigors of saltwater exposure. The case performed perfectly to a depth of 15 meters. The phone stayed totally dry over a 45 minute dive and the photos were very clear. For $60, one can easily take photos during snorkeling or shallow scuba diving without having to purchase a GoPro or other high end camera.The con: The control buttons did not function as advertised, which is why I gave a four star rating. Neither the video camera button nor the flip button to go from selfie to landscape mode were functional and the other buttons all made the camera take a picture. Aside from this one issue, the case is an excellent value and is an entry level solution for shallow depth photography.

This case works amazingly well! I was nervous about submerging my phone but figured I would give it a try since I am wanting to buy the upgrade anyway. No need to buy the upgrade! I am really impressed! Not only does my camera stay completely dry inside, but the Bluetooth features and remote work great! I think they worked better than simulating the use of the physical buttons. I use this with Samsung Note 10. All the suction cups hold the phone exactly where you want it - just where you place it, without any slippage. There are several apps through google play and Samsung that can be used to keep the screen on if that becomes a problem for you. Honestly, I didn't expect much from this case, and I was pretty much depressed that I would need to get a go-pro when in the water, but this works so well I am not going to bother spending money on something that is just another gadget to have around the house. Another bonus - I use it all the time at the the beach and I never have to worry about getting sand in my phone and ruining it. We spend lots of time on the water, around the water, and playing at water parks, this case has saved my phone more than once!

This waterproof diving case works very well! First off, I used Android phones to try this out and every phone I tried (Samsung & Pixel devices), all worked as they should while inside. While it's a little hit or miss sometimes, the touch screen still works from outside the case. Overall, it was very easy to setup and use. The seal on the case is very tight and no water got inside while using. The size of it is nice and I had no problems with any phone I tried. Keep in mind I had to remove any case for it to fit properly. I love the included Bluetooth remote which was quick and easy to pair with my phone and made taking photos quick and easy. I used this in my pool and the underwater photos turned out very nice and I was actually quite impressed as you couldn't even tell it was taking a photo through a case. All things considered, this is a great way to take photos underwater using my phone and I found it works quite well!
