Love to read on this book sized screen.
It is a good edition to your Kindle collection on amazon.com. Plays the same books; you only pay one time for each amazon.com e-book. You can export word documents from Office/Word to the scribe, but I haven't learned how to do that yet. You can put notes in the e-books, handwritten or typed on a little keyboard that comes up on the screen, anywhere you want, and review them in one place by selecting the notes icon in the main toolbar you get by tapping on the top of the screen in the middle. The scribe pen does some other magic things.

Quick delivery on great product
Purchased as a gift bthe recipient was extatic with the size readability and the no adds feature as you get on other platforms. One issue which was quickly resolved is the pen didn't work but customer SVC walked him through on how to fix (changing out the tip to another one provided in the pen box). Other than that no issues.

Great for reading and writing
I ordered the Certified Refurb unit expecting it to be in less than perfect condition. I was surprised when it arrived and was in fact in "new" condition - not a mark on it. I love this device! I do a lot of Alpha, Beta, and ARC reading for authors and the Scribe allows me to highlight, write suggestions, etc right on the manuscripts that they send to me. I am also able to create notebooks to track those markups as well as tracking the titles and reviews I have completed - all one device. In some instances all I need to do is send the author my notes file directly from the device. The scribe is a joy to use and is perfect for my needs.

Loveee thisssssss
The Kindle’s minimalist design and feather-light weight make it a joy to use for hours without fatigue. The texture of the device is smooth, with a matte finish that resists fingerprints. Functionality is excellent, with crisp, glare-free text and a user-friendly interface. Likes: The long battery life and vast library access are huge benefits. Being a refurbished product, it feels and works like new. Dislike: it does lag and or freeze, very rare but it has. Who Would Like This: Book lovers, commuters, and anyone transitioning from physical books to e-readers.

Frustratingly slow response
Infuriating for me to try using compared to an iPad. The resolution doesn’t seem any better than my iPad. Suggest you compare to a used iPad or iPad mini. See for yourself — I may be all wet. I thought it a poor value.

After years as a happy Kobo and Pocketbook user I finally decided to give a Kindle a try as the 10" display was a big attraction and the refurbished price (perfect condition) was a very good deal at £190. So glad I've given this e-reader a chance. Many of the reviews I've seen online have quibbled about its note-taking/annotation capabilities compared to other brands costing much more. Not particularly interested in colour displays either, which I think is a technology which needs a few more years to mature. I've bought this primarily as a monochrome READING device, however and it's been a revelation to use after regular 6" e-readers. Feels like I'm reading everything in a nice big hardback book format. Magnificent! I sideload my ebooks via Calibre/USB from my PC. Calibre handles the conversion from EPUB to KFX format and transfer automatically and I've found that many PDF files are now actually useable on the 10" display. (Trying to navigate them on a 6" display was a pain!) nb MOBI format files will work on the Scribe but KFX format files provide more up-to-date formatting options such as double columns in landscape mode which looks brilliant on a 10" screen! You'll need to install the Kindle previewer app (Download from Amazon) and the KFX Output plugin in Calibre.

Hier kann man also bedenkenlos zugreifen.

I've been using this for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love this for reading. It's perfect for the train or at night in bed. The illumination automatically adjusts to the lighting conditions, which I really like. One of the things I also like is being able to click on references while reading. It jumps to wherever in the book the reference happen to be, and then you can click the pop-up back arrow to go back to where you started. The whole reading experience is 1000% better than trying to read on one of those small crappy little kindles. I'd previously purchased an M1 ipad for 1100 euro to use it as an e-book, and I was disappointed. The ipad was okay but a bit hard on the eyes and the major annoyance was the battery went flat too quickly. This scribe seems to hardly use any battery power at all. Not much negative to say about this device. I dont care about the pen so I'm not going to review that. Forget using this thing for browsing the internet, it's clunky and cant handle web pages well. It's not designed for that. One little gripe is if you click on a reference and say the reference is a URL and then you click on it again you can only go back once, so you lose you place in the text. That's a really minor thing though. Anyway, I'm happy with this purchase.

Excellent screen and scribe function. Very handy to read, take notes and sketch up ideas. As long as you're ok with it's size, then I'd recommend.
