Took a risk buying the “used, like new” option for way cheaper $$ and the decision literally paid itself off. I got this Dayton helmet for way less and after receiving it and trying it on it went from my second option helmet to my everyday helmet. I would paid full price with zero regrets. Got the helmet in 4XL. I got a huge head and it fits great! I tried on Harley Helmets and this helmet not only fits better but was a fraction of the price. I didn't see pictures of the inside and still took the risk, yet another risky decision, but the helmet didn’t disappoint, it is well padded, light weight comfortable and very durable. I can honestly say I feel safe in it. The most impressive feature of this helmet in my opinion would be the chinstrap. Instead of a button up it’s a quick release clip chin strap pull buckle! Definitely more functional ! The mat black is definitely the way to go if your looking for something to decal and make your own. It’s a great color, true mat black. And no I don’t work for the company, I’m just a really satisfied customer that wants his brothers and sisters riding to get a good deal and great helmet! You won’t regret it!

so yeah it makes my head look like a mushroom, but I like don't care, it feels sturdy and looks great overall. Now I've never owned a "real" motorcycle helmet so under the padding in the helmet its just a thick layer of Styrofoam. I'm guessing that's the sturdiness factor I'm feeling but I honestly have no clue if that's the norm. I ride a bicycle but this thing looked dope so I went for it and it definitely has some weight to it compared to a regular bicycle helmet. I measured my head before choosing a size I was between an XL and the XXL but read some other reviews stating there was some sizing issues if you have a moderately large melon, as do I. XXL was definitely the wiser choice for myself (23.8 in roughly). I mean I have big ears so I have to tuck them under a little but its not uncomfortable, but hey that's just me. It came nicely packaged in a nice little helmet bag, with a little helmet du-rag I'm guessing for helmet hair(?), a little keychain and some sort of welcome to the world of your helmet pamphlet. I like it. gonna start decking it out with sticker to truly make it mine.

I have looked for a long time to find a half helmet that fit well and did not have that "mushroom" look. This helmet fit the bill perfectly. The sizing chart was very good, so my new helmet fits like a glove. With good looks, great fit and being comfortable, the helmet just about has it all. Just about. The chin strap needs padding. The strap is made of a hard plastic, and connects under the chin with a ratchet-type connection. I love the ratchet connection and quick release, but that hard plastic pressed against the chin and throat gets very old very quickly. I have an old helmet with some padding I will try to retrofit - but having this added as a standard feature would propel this helmet to 5 stars.

First off... thank you Amazon PRIME for your service "Shopping made a whole lot easier"! Now... Daytona New slim line. Great work on R&D of this new slim line helmet. Light weight, Comfy and Style/DOT. Now the info that I hope will help fellow riders. I'm male and have a normal shaped cranium (no egg shape) and military haircut. Head shape and hair length will play a factor in size. I wear a size Medium in full helmets, anywhere from Arai, Shoei, Shark, etc. I've learned from trial and error with half helmets that not always going a size down will give you the right fit for this style helmet. Take note, this is my opinion, others will defer. I know that everyone has a different shape head and a preference on how truly everyone wants a half helmet to fit. Some want a tad loose, some want a nice snug fit. I had to go from a small to an X-small with this slim line DOT half helmet "why?" Well 2 reasons... 1, I wanted the snug "not tight" just a snugged fit (how a helmet should be worn for your safety) and NO I didn't get the pressure point headache feel from dropping to a size X-small for this helmet. 2. I like the fact that that this helmet stayed put on my crown riding at a good rate of speed (no wind lift) all day in comparison to the size Small. Size small fit good, but just a tiny tad loose and at a good rate of speed the size Small would slightly lift a little. My opinion, I feel that if you wear a fitted baseball cap "snug comfy feel" the measurement of your hat opening (use a measuring tape) should be just about right for your your slim line sizing concerns. Lastly.. Mushroom head on any half helmet will be hard to avoid, it's all about which DOT helmet can slim it down and this SLIM LINE does the job! Very happy with this purchase! Ride safe!

I was in search of an affordable half helmet, and this fit the bill. It's definitely a great value and appears to be well made. Overall a pretty good looking helmet. This helmet is heavy for what it is. when you put it on your head, you'll really notice the weight. As far as sizing, I'd say it runs small. I wear an XL in most helmets, and I couldn't get the XL on my head. I ended up ordering the XXL and the fit was good. My biggest gripe with this lid is the sheer size of it. It's a big helmet. I have no fairing on my bike and when I got over 40 mph, this thing would catch the wind and start to lift off of my head. It was so bad, I'd have to constantly adjust it at every stop light. If you have a fairing on your bike, you may not experience the same effect. After wearing the Daytona for two and a half months, I had to give it up for something smaller and lighter. I know there's not as much protection in a more minimal helmet, but they're a lot more comfortable. I guess it's a trade off you have to be willing to make.

It looks ok, I would say a bit mushroom shape but unless I compromise even more on safety I don't think I can find much slimmer in my region. My head size is 59 and i got an XL as per the chart, it is quite tight I am assuming it will start loosening over time. I would say the consider the next size up for a 60 or 61, how ever this could be to do with head shape also. I like the release catch and the quality.
