PROTEX Convertible Soft Top Care Kit with Canvas Cleaner/Restorer (Black)/Waterproofer - 500ml

I was very sceptical about this product as my cabriolet roof was in a very poor state with a lot of green algae and bird droppings. I also bought a set of sponges you can attach to a drill to make the cleaning easier which helped really get the product into the roof. Had to use the cleaner twice but it really did lift the green marks and bird droppings off. The restorer was fantastic and made the roof a great black colour again and the waterproofer also worked well. So good in fact I sold the car for the price I wanted as the roof looked like new again. I bought the large pack but only needed to use half so gave the rest to the buyer.

Very good products,have done a good job on my convertible roof, it's a shame that the waterproofing liquid couldn't be a little thicker consistency, it was quite difficult to apply without running, I found. Overall good value for money & does what it says on the bottles !

This product works - took up a whole Saturday but was worth the new look - still some wear remains but that’s understandable as it’s a 20 year old car. But it has restored the black and cleaned it perfectly. I would recommend masking up your car to avoid spilling any onto the paint!! If you do then don’t panic juts wipe off with a damp cloth. Only downside is the soft top has stiffened up meaning you might need to fold it yourself the first few times to create the creases again! Overall very impressive for the price giving a decent waterproofing and protection!

Bought this to clean a terribly mouldy TT roof prior to part-exing it. Other previous products have been dubious. This one worked a treat. The roof came up like new. We didn't use the sealer as it was getting traded the next day, but I have no doubt it would have been the perfect finish.

The cleaner and restorer did a really good job of taking a dull and green looking TT soft top back to nearly new look. Only 3 stars for water resistance simply because it hasn't rained since it has been applied but application was easy and even coverage. Will update once top has been rained on but this kit far and away the best I have ever used on a soft top.

Amazing product. I purchased this product for the first time; so didn't want to buy the large litre bottles; not knowing how effective it would be. I was a little worried, in-case it wouldn't be sufficient for my Mini Convertible, which is a small four seater. My fabric roof wasn't in a terrible state; mainly algae; I only used 50% of the Cleaner; 100% of the Restorer & Waterproofer. I would buy again for sure. It's less patchy now, than when it was previously waterproofed by the garage I purchased the car from. Thank you.

The top was in sorta bad shape so I used it and was shocked how it came out my soft top looks brand new. Will use on my Gladiator soft top when needed. A++++

Waited for a long time to receive this order. I think it came from UK. I used the entire product and process as directed with instructions. It did make the black canvas top darker. My top had some faded spots that the product just would not correct the condition. I ended replacing the entire top with a brand new one!

Seems to work very well. My top was badly faded and leaking from numerous car washes. First, I got the 1 liter kit with all 3 products. I have a Mustang and didn't think the 500 ml bottles would be enough. Cleaned the top once and still have about 2/3 of the liter bottle left. I applied 2 coats of the restorer to make sure there were no faded spots left. I have about 1/3 of the bottle left or enough for another coat. I did 2 coats of the sealer and still have about half of the bottle left. One note: after the first coat of the sealer, the second coat didn't soak in as well so I wasted a little from runoff. On the second coat of sealer, apply smaller amounts more slowly to prevent waste. If your top was a bad and faded as mine, go for the 1 liter bottles. If you're just touching up and re-sealing, the 500 ml bottles should be enough. Also, had a few spots of restorer on the paint from paint brush drips; even after drying, the restorer came off the paint easily with water and a rag. In my estimation, the product is a little pricy, but because it seems to work, I'd gladly buy it again.
