Men's Expedition North Field Post 43mm Watch

The watch overall is excellent and I love it. It looks way better in person than the marketing images (that almost look more like renderings than actual products). Pros: The sapphire crystal, stainless steel body, green/black accented face, and the weight of the watch make it look and feel premium. You cannot hear this watch ticking, like other Timex watches. Cons: the titanium color finish in the stainless steel has weird smudges every once in a while. I’m guessing it’s oils from touching other parts of the body. It needs a good wipe down at times. The band is not great. It feels cheap and seems very flimsy. I plan to swap it out with a NATO strap or something similar. Advertising on the Timex website says there is Indiglo, there isn’t as far as I can see. Just the lume hands and hour markers (which are maybe a 6/10 on the brightness scale). There aren’t many stats on the watch pre-purchase, but I’ll share what I can. The movement is “made in Japan” and called 01L. The chronograph doesn’t sweep when reset, it just shoots back to 12 position (perfectly aligned, I might add). Not a deal breaker, but something to note since there aren’t too many reviews out yet. But I wouldn’t let these cons get in the way too much. This watch looks and feels amazing on the wrist. I don’t have many Times watches, but this one is great and a head turner.

I bought this watch because of the green dial. I really couldn’t believe that it was THAT green but it is! Great presence. It’s really stunning and the black subdials are a perfect set off for the dial. Sapphire!! The band is silicone and certainly acceptable here. Hats off to the shipper as it arrived here a full week ahead of the promise date. Awesome service. Don’t sleep on Timex. They’ve got some reasonable priced bangers coming out lately. They have not disappointed.

Great watch! Wears a little small but excellent overall

the watch is nice. however it doesn't work like it shows and says it works. the small chronograph 24 hour hand doesn't do hundreths of seconds, it only continually counts hours [but that's why it has an hour hand]. This makes the small hour hand redundant and worthless if you're timing anything over one hour. Pretty silly design [or design flaw most likely].

The first time I saw this model, I was impressed. The colors work well together and the timekeeping is accurate. Timex does well with accuracy. The strap is holding well, time will tell, since Timex bands can be marginal. Design has gotten complements from the first day I wore. My only complaint is the lettering on the subdivision is almost useless. The stopwatch features run well, and the watch feels more like a Seiko, but the numbers are in such a dark shade that they are almost impossible to see.

This watch is amazing value, the specifications are brilliant for the money. Stainless steel case, sapphire glass, screw down case back and crown, and a good chronograph movement, these are great for around £100. I've had this watch for 6 months now and it has become my most worn in a collection of more expensive citizen, seikos an more. This timex wears lovely, though I did change the strap to a canvas type as the included strap is a little stiff. The chronograph is easy and useful, the finish of the watch is tough and looks new even after lots of wear. This watch is so good I have bought the black dial version so i have a different look when I want. Highly recommended.
