Having more then one remote in the living room is nice to have
We when to the Amazon Fire Box, so as to direct wire to Ethernet cable, to help reduce the dangerous Wifi microwave radiation inside our home. We wanted two more remotes in our living room, so one would not have to get up and go to another chair to get one. These work very well.

was a direct match with no set up required
i lost the remote to my tv that i have in my garage i couldn't locate it for almost a week, when i found it it wouldn't work anymore despite showing no signs of it being broke. after switching out batteries several times it just wouldn't work. luckily i noticed the remotes are selling seperatley. after the arrival i put the batteries i the remote and it worked perfectly with ever needing the need to set it up. very pleased.

If you need a replacement - bite the bullet and buy it!
Edit: we’re habitual remote loosers and this newest one deserves its own review. You see this newest one demands to be pointed at thee television in order to work. I don’t like this. I like to lay in my own room, hear they the puppies want the channel changed or thunderstorms from over night off and morning cartoons on and reach over to my own nightstand grab this remote and using my ring camera and my lazy butt looking at my phone change channels for them. But nooooo not this one. And thst sucks big time. I’m gonna try to change batteries (why I don’t know iso t thst what females do- change batteries on everything first?) and yd know if its still being extra needed maybe it needs me to return and buy another. I hate they no app remote is available or any universal remote is good enough. These are costing me $30+ bucks each time and they are. All Going to be found together one day and I’ll Be able to stock Amazon with Amazon remotes ! Right outta the little package this bad boy worked. No programming no negotiating like you do with a three year old, just plain ole tap a button worked kind of worked. A little pricy in my opinion. But after reading the reviews I knew I needed this. I also know any day now I’ll find the original one. I sat it down right here. Or was that here? Or was it over there? Well I went without a remote thus no television for roughly 3 months in my living room. Good thing I never watch television. I o my bought the replacement so my puppies could watch cartoons.

Enhanced enough
Needed a replacement 4k remote for my fire stick. Gets a 5 star for the manner in which I got mine (let's not get into that, I don't have the wherewithal) and the fact it pairs with "dumb TV's" There's nothing "enhanced" about it though. It's the same remote you get from the 3rd party for 1/3rd of the price. The only enhanced aspect for me is that it works with my dumb TV and NONE of the 3rd party remotes do, which is appalling. One shouldn't be forced to buy $30 replacement remotes when they used to be made by 3rd parties for a fraction. I think we're paying for the "enhanced packaging" because the Amazon packaging was much more involved and actually came with booklets when one can easily Google or be guided by a setup. It's value for price is a bit off, it's as easy to use as the factory remote because it IS the factory remote. If you're wondering why I got a 4k fire stick with a dumb TV (no 4k), I got it for the faster processing speeds for Luna gaming compared to the older fire sticks I had. Cloud gaming needs a decent system to run off of and I read the 4k system was better for it. I'm guessing the 3rd party remote makers didn't assume there'd be people like me out there, or not enough of us. I don't know why this review wants me to comment on how it fits, that's pretty funny. I guess it fits my hand just fine? It fits my decor? It fits my tv? Lol

It works fine, but that's not the problem ...
Let me be clear, I do not have an issue with how this particular remote functions. What I do have a problem with is why I needed it in the first place ! I have had my Toshiba Fire TV for nearly three years. After about a year, the buttons on the remote it came with stared to stick. So I ordered a 3rd party replacement that cost HALF as much as this one. It worked right out of the box - no programming or pairing. And I was happy ... until about a month ago. Then it suddenly STOPPED working altogether. I tried going thru pairing routines etc. but no response. So I assumed that the remote had died & ordered a replacement.(BTW, I still had the ORIGINAL remote & used that in the interim.) I got the same brand remote since it was so easy (and inexpensive.) However, that one did NOT work right out of the box, nor could I pair it or program it ! So my assumption is that there was an update done to the firmware on my TV and Amazon DISABLED these style remotes ! So I returned the one I just got & ordered Amazon's recommended replacement. And it works just fine. But I think it is RIDICULOUS that Amazon felt the need to force me to buy THEIR product. I am still an Amazon FanBoy & I will continue to buy Alexa enabled products, but this was pretty sleazy .

Compatibility woes
It would be so easy to include a compatibility chart in the description with actual product identifiers instead of incomprehensible "Max Omni 4K 2000" nonsense, but they don't. What I wound up doing is salvaging the remote control for my second stick to use with the first and pairing this remote with the second. Fortunately that worked, but I'm not giving them any credit for my ability to salvage a situation they created. Given how obscenely overpriced this remote control is and the compatibility roulette wheel you'll be spinning, you're better off just buying a whole new stick and taking the L. Better to waste an hour setting up a new device than waste several days and 30 bucks. And just to really add insult to injury, the Pro model is in fact compatible with my first stick. I went to order one and got the iconic Amazon "We don't know if or when this will come back in stock" message, so I ordered this one instead. Lo and behold, a week later not only is the Pro back in stock, but it is actually equal in price at baseline and cheaper on its current limited time sale. Why is this product even for sale when there's an objectively superior model for the same price?
