These filters are not all the same, these ones are working well, doing their job of filtering the rubbish out of the water. Some can be of worse quality so they don't last so long, I would recommend using 2 weeks though, the outer layer doesn't always last as well as the inner layers and the outside no matter how much you wash it, will eventually go slimy on every use.

This is a good filter for our cats' water fountain. Yes even water direct from the tap has to have a filter and the design of these fountains mean that things (like dust, pollen, insects etc) can fall on the top of the fountain and get carried into the drinking water - this filter catches them. I find that I need to change the filter for a new one every three to four weeks but as the cats only drink from the fountain, I can be sure that they are always drinking clean filtered water.

Cheap tat that didn't fit, unfortunately I didn't open this for a while and then once opened, it's not able to be sent back, but I may as well put a sock in the filter tray! Honestly, I do not understand how anyone can recommend these and can only conclude that what you actuality get is a complete gamble.

I have to be honest, this item is worth every penny, first off its pleasing to the eye, and does not look out of place. It has a window to keep an eye on the water level, a blue led in side. It is very quiet 🤫 our Cat absolutely loves it, the top dish is stainless steel which holds a small amount of water, so there is always water it the pump fails. I can't find anything negative.
