The newly upgraded Review: A very strong 4/5 S.T.A.R.S. - I generally liked the movies when I saw them on terrestrial TV. ... For a while I thought about buying the collection on blu-ray. ... Glad I did. The movies, the lore, and the atmosphere of the movies, is more complete when you watch them together. I understand the story and the thread of the movies better viewing them back to back. ... I realised that some small aspects confused me when watching on TV. E.g. the end of the first movie is repeated at the start of the second. When you're trying to remember what happens in which movie, a repeated part is confusing. ... Not to labour the point, but seeing the movies together cleared up quite a few ideas. Again, e.g. seeing Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Carlos, Chris Redfield, Ada Wong, and Chris Redfield. Seeing the movies via a mismatched TV schedule, I think I had forgotten they were even in the movies. More like "Oh that's clear - I know who's in which movie now." Understanding where each movie fits in the series improved my enjoyment of the movies too. Like Afterlife, I had never thought as well of it as the other movies, yet watching in this set, I loved it. ... I'd always really liked the first three movies, but now movies four and five are right up there with the rest. Lastly on this note, seeing the movies together has even made me feel part of the atmosphere of the games. The movies are more action orientated. However what I mean is, during the games you are pfully aware of the T-virus or Las Plaga. It's on your mind all through the games. This constant awareness is there is the movies when viewed in chronological order. ... Whereas otherwise, the RE movies feel more biased towards being zombie movies. I just have Final Chapter to watch now, and in blu-ray it will be a blast. I like this movie. Only seen it two or three times in SD before, but feel it's a solid meaty movie. The blu-ray picture quality helps wonders too, since I had only ever seen them in SD on TV. This is a fair/good price at £16.48 for the six movies in HD blu-ray. ......... If you only half liked some of the movies before, this movie collection might be the tonic for you. Review: Great movie - Great film, I love resident evil

My Name is Alice
The 'Resident Evil' franchise follows Alice who awakens from a secret organisation called Umbrella and is somehow made to have super strength. She then finds out the T-virus has escaped and has turned the living into the living dead. Milla Jovovich is fantastic as the lead role along with Ali Larter. Below is a summary and review of each film. Resident Evil: Alice awakens from Umbrella and joins a military team to get into the hive. I thought this was quite a weak installment as it lacks much action and seems to go at a slow pace. But sets up the story for this franchise well. Apocalypse: The T-virus has spread throughout the enclosed city and Alice and others are trapped and must find a way out. Again, I thought this was another weak installment as it starts off very slow. But it picks up in it's 2nd half and features some good fight scenes and twists. This one also has poor Blu-ray quality in terms of picture quality and sound. Extinction: The T-virus has now spread throughout most of the world turning mostly every human into a zombie. Alice finds herself on desert lands and joins Claire Redfield and her crew battling the zombies. This is one of the best installments and it also the most bloodiest. There is lots of action, fights, tense scenes and scares in this one along with some stunning cinematography. I loved the scene with the infected crows which try to kill them. Afterlife: Alice and Claire are reunited and travel to a city and to help a few survivors whilst also finding a way to destroy Umbrella. This is perhaps my favourite installment as I loved the characters in this and it is action packed with a range of locations used. The Axe man in this film is great especially when Claire and Alice try and fight him. Retribution: Alice gets trapped in Umbrella and must fight her way though a series of test sequences to escape. The opening scene for this one was brilliant making it look like a proper zombie horror. But the rest of the film is quite different and feels more like watching a video game. There is too much CGI and it does go over the top with action scenes. It was still good and was nice to see Rain (from the first film) back as an android. The Final Chapter: Alice, Claire and her friends travel back to Racoon city in order to find an anti-virus which will destroy all of the living dead and stop the human race being extinct. This is the scariest of the franchise and at times was quite jumpy and dark. This final installment answers most questions and there is even a few twists at the end.

Resident Evil Boxed Set
I have always enjoyed the Resident Evil films but I was sure that I had never seen all six. This was an opportunity to pick up all six films at a good price. There were a couple here that I had not seen so that may the purchase well worth while. Good value box set which you can enjoy when nothing else on the television takes your fancy

I love these films!
I bought a Nissan Elgrand that has a built in DVD player. So reversing the decision to get shot of all my DVDs and CDs and going all digital, I needed to get some physical media again! This just had to be on the list.

Resident Evil: The Complete Collection ..... All a fan needs !!!
This is exactly what it claims to be, the complete Resident Evil film collection on Blu Ray. This box set contains the following films: Resident Evil (2002) Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016) All of the extras and "making of"s are included with each film. This is excellent value for money. Quality of the box set is 1st class. I have only one slightly negative point and that was the delivery. It took a couple of days longer than expected but to be fair, we are in the middle of a global pandemic and we should all be grateful to the work the delivery drivers are doing at the moment. I was just disappointed as I wanted the box set to be here for my birthday. Can't be helped and was no way any fault of the supplier either. Still worth. a 5 star rating ;-) All in all, this is a great buy. Do not hesitate to purchase this box set. You won't regret it. I can fully recommend it.
