InSinkErator EVOLUTION 1HP 1 HP, Advanced Series Continuous Feed Food Waste Garbage Disposal, Gray

I purchased an InSinkErator disposal 23 years ago. It has worked flawlessly - not a moment of trouble. The reason I replaced it was because the drain port clogged and could not be cleared without damaging the unit. A 20+ year service life is unheard these days, so when I needed a new unit, I went with InSinkErator again. I didn't need customer reviews; I lived the review! I had some questions about replacing the old unit. InSinkErator has a Help Line, I called on a Saturday and the woman who answered really new the product line. I gave the model of the old unit and the one I was planning to purchase and asked if the installation parts were interchangeable. Turns out they are. That meant a real time savings on the install. Also spared my back. As for the unit itself, it is amazingly quiet. Everyone in the family has, at one time or another, commented on the lack of noise. I used a sink-mounted on/off button - it is a shorter reach than the wall switch I installed 23 years ago. One more point worth making: they have improved the installation method so that you do not have to bench press the unit. All you do is lift high enough for a hook to catch, you then swing it up into place and tighten the lock ring. Super easy! I am completely satisfied with this product, but even more so with the company!

I install garburators for customers all the time, the home owner had an old version of the insinkerator that lasted for about 10 years, pretty good considering how much crap goes down them, so I went with the upgraded version and it is perfect. It bolted right on to the old hardware, even though it came with new stuff. I bought the lug in adaptor kit extra to go to plug style since he had a gfi under the sink already. Easy wiring. Then only difference in the mounting of the unit was the drain office was about 1 inch shorter then the original one and the drain pipe was to short to be able to use the old drain, so I just had to cut it and add an extension on the abs. No big deal. Definitely the quietest model I have heard on the market today for that amount of hp. Just remember to keep the rubber dampening gaurd on to eliminate the noise coming back up from the unit. This model is now my go to for all clients willing to get the best.

Second: The InSinkErator Evolution 1 HP garbage disposal is designed to operate exclusively on 120 volts at 60 Hz. It is not compatible with 220-volt systems.   Attempting to connect this 120V model to a 220V power supply can result in damage to the unit and poses significant safety risks. For regions with 220V electrical systems, InSinkErator offers models specifically designed for that voltage, such as the Model 46 and Evolution 100.  It’s advisable to purchase your InSinkErator product from an authorized retailer in your country to ensure compatibility with local electrical standards and to validate the warranty.
