Phonics from A to Z: A Practical Guide

I really loved this book. I’ve been teaching for four years in first grade and it was a good refresher on what phonics is and how important it is for a child to learn to read. I also thought it was extremely interesting how it had the history of teaching phonics and how much has changed in years. If you are a K-3 teacher this is a must read! It has ideas and activities you can do in the classroom and ways to differentiate the struggling readers.

Bought this book for class, but it is also a great resource to use if you are a teacher. Very reasonable price

I'm always looking for a good book about phonics implementation in my classroom and this book supplies that with easy to understand lingo. It's a very good resource.

This was all covered when I studying special education, but this puts everything together in one easy resource. It focuses mostly on grades k-3 because that's when learning to read is most important (and when any discrepancies in learning show up). I love that the book has resources for games and worksheets to work on with kids. And there is nothing in this book that is not backed up by research that shows that this is an effective method for teaching. A good idea to keep in any k-3 teacher's library and special educators of all ages will benefit from it.

Great read and use for those learning the Science of Reading. Excellent resource!

This book is exactly what any teacher from K-3 needs. It explains the basics that any new teacher needs to know and works great as a reference for veteran teachers. It does an amazing job of explain the basics and then diving in deeper. It’s full of great resources and activities always providing examples of any concept and then providing activities for application. This is a must have book in any primary teacher’s personal library!

A ton of information, highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn about phonics or anyone teaching phonics.
