Great product, I maintain my own pool, and this product saves my primary filters from getting so filthy. I actually use the socks differently from how they are shown in the pictures. I like to put the sock around the outside of the basket. Yes, it will stretch around it, no problem. This approach works better for me, and it captures more and keeps it contained in the basket, rather than debris possibly floating back out.

Great product if used correctly. Place chloring tablets in skimmer and not sock and place sock over the chlorine tablets. This worked well for me all summer and as a result less backwashing. Removes tiny insects and particles from your pool water before it gets to the pool filter. Durability is good and length of time is ideal for pool a sock that sits in a more concentrated chlorine area of the pool. I was able to use for 14 dys without issue. I could have probably used the pool sock longer but I did not test beyond that length of time. I usually use two chlorine tablets per skimmer.

Catches a ton of debris and dog hair.

After back flushing the filter (between cleanings) I put diatomaceous earth into the skimmer and the sock captured the DE - so the mesh works really well - I had to manually dump out the sock into the skimmer - so obviously it should filter really fine particles. One minor issue - It took a bit of effort but I was finally able to stretch them enough to fit my skimmer basket. The material is very stretchy but even then it took several tries to put it around the edge of the basket. But they finally did and did not tear - a testament to the strength of the material. My basket is the type that has a handle that inserts into the top rim, and I was able to poke into the cloth - so no problem there. I expect the socks will work quite well, because the mesh is fairly fine. I also think I will have to empty it more often, which is fine with me.

OMG! These things are AMAZING!!! It is pollen and cottonwood season here in Northern IN and these things are so wonderful! They fit over the skimmer basket with lots of stretch and a snug hold and it is amazing all the gunk they collect and keep out of the filter! Just have to make sure you check them often especially at first as there is a lot of debris to clean out. It will save gunk in the filter and then a loss of water as you would have to backwash (if it is a sand filter) or clean the cartridge often this time of year especially. BUY THEM YOU WON'T BE SORRY!

These socks were easy to put on a filtered nicely in the skimmer. Just what I was looking for

I bought two packages of these skimmer socks and changed them out everyday during pool season. They helped keep the sand filter much cleaner, I only had to backwash the pool twice this summer and I feel the pool socks played a big part in that. They are really easy to change and fit snuggly in my skimmer. The socks picked up everything from gnats to frogs. I will definitely purchase these again next summer!

Cleaning your skimmer is now a game changer with these, they are just a tad to small so need to stretch over however they will eventually stretch a little more into skimmer. Once used you take out and rinse off then place back on again. Youll be amazed how much this stops you having to clean skimmer and pumps skimmer. Saves time equals value any day of the week.

These socks are excellent and well priced. We were using much higher priced ones from the store. These collect the fluff from the poplar trees that completely clog our filters in a couple weeks. These are a life saver. Highly recommended to add to your pool filter basket.
